That was an excellent video where so many of the things you said have not crossed my mind especially about having an emergency ending. I normally just rush through when I see the red light. One question: do you think it is a good idea to work with someone that will oversee your speech and advise you of the changes required or it is best to do it on your own?? Many thanks in advance.🙏

I strongly advise that you get a trusted advisor or a small group of advisors that you know will give you unbiased feedback. In past videos and speeches that I share, I call this my circle of council.

@@publicspeakingmentor Thank you very much Aaron for your advice which is truly appreciated. Something to think about - getting a trusted advisor let alone a group who will give you unbiased feedback. "Trust" and " unbiased"; two elements which I think are not easy to find in an advisor. I need to expand my circle of friends 🙂

@@publicspeakingmentor Your help will be highly needed sir! Have been asked to write a speech on the below topics 1-This dream is possible 2- Imagine this 3-The forest are no longer green 4-My first love I jst need a guide as to how to go about it sir

For the first one, ask yourself the question what have I achieved that people thought was impossible or that I thought wasn’t possible? For the second one, imagine this is actually a great way to open a speech. Start with imagine this and then start describing a scenario about a situation that happened to you… Any situation will do. The forest are no longer green sounds like it is asking you to explain a situation where you thought something would be fun, beneficial, or easy; however it turned into something that was less desirable. Do you have a situation like that? If so you should explain what that is. The final one is the easiest one. Your first love doesn’t necessarily have to be a romantic love it could be a family member. It also doesn’t have to be a person. It can be an animal or an inanimate object.

I have a health and temperance speech competition next month and I have learned a lot I will definitely work on... An emergency ending and improving at each level because 'what got you here. Won't get you there!'

Thank you for noticing. Editing wise, I do think this was one of my better videos. Like with speaking, improvement comes with time and repetition.
