Hey guys, I've been trying to highlight more epic games since the response to Cheesiest series & Has vs Elazer was really good. These epic game highlights are longer than our standard highlights. I enjoyed the length because it didn't take me 32 minutes but I still got to watch the whole game. Maybe this type of video belongs more in its own category...widdling the long epic games down to smaller video can be useful to some people...but yea....maybe not a lot of people.. .I don't know.

5 Years and i still love this battle. We saw the best of both races here: Swarm Host. Broodlords, infestors - Banshees, Blue hellbats, Ravens, and a superbe exhibition of an aerial combat This has to be one of the most incredible combats of all time.

Maru should have gone for the broods at the end and just used his fire units to wipe out everything. I think he could have been way more aggressive on the air units even if it cost him his fleet. I think it would have benefited him in the end.

Terran air needs help. Vikings are terrible AA. Either give them some minor splash or give them weaker but faster firing missiles. So much wasted damage when all the vikings fire at the same corruptor per volley, not to mention they're still squishy as f*ck.

The fact Terran can't really hard counter mass Corruptor is annoying. It is as if once Z gets a critical amount of Corruptor + few Viper for backup it is pretty much air superiority for Z.

This is the fondamental display that Curroptors are OP when they beat the unit type that is made to kill them! Terran doesnt have better anti air (from air to air) either boost the vikings to have paralysing effect like Nova's goliath anti air attack or bring back wraith. But the even bigger problem is the fact the Fungal Growth affects AIR!! It Shouldnt for the love of God!!! Raven's should be like Nova's with cloacking and healing ability! No need for doritos canon. Terran doesnt have healing for Mech which is absurd!! And where are my FIREBATS and flaming betties from sc2 terran campaign???

I'm not even close to being a SC2 pro, but even I realize that Mutalisks (en masse) probably would have naturally fared better against all of those Vikings than Corruptors (even en masse). Of course, Corruptors fare remarkably well versus Banshees, but then again so do Mutalisks. Nonetheless, this Zerg player did well and managed well with what he had at hand, in this match.

it would have been very easy for the terran to kite the mutalisks into a thor with the vikings if he had gone that approach, muta are very weak v thor where as corruptor can take a lot of hits and not really mind

am i the only one who just cant watch these commentaries just because i notice things they dont? like, at the end they were focusing up there but i was looking at the map watching maru's floating cc getting mobbed by corruptors while going to one of the last expansions

I try to cut as smooth as possible (for example: 2:38 artosis says Maru's going speed banshees, next cut is that banshees are attack) so its understandable. However, the end game has a lot of action and is hard to cut. I suggest watching the full vods (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6i3noyArc6Narc) if you want to clear things up! Ill try to work on it in the future, but not sure how much it can be improved.

It's because Terran went mech and turtled. Harder to break someones defense than to defend yourself and zerg has (imo) relatively worse defense than Terran and Protoss with ok offense until you get to higher tech. And it just so happens that Brood lords take quite a while to move around so it feels like it's a struggle for zerg but really it's a struggle for Terran as it's really hard to deal with the brood lords.

It was camping vs camping, never looks easy. But if you look at the last 5 big tournaments you will see that zergs are everywhere, they do not really struggle at the moment. (Im not into a OP shit talk)

The game has changed so much over the years. Zerg has been pretty strong for a long time now. I feel like things are pretty balanced looking for the races personally, but each race has such different playstyles over the years. For the longest time super late game zerg was so bad that they had to try to either kill or do a lot of damage to terran when they first maxed out. Now they can get a super death ball like the protoss used to. Units seem to be so much better in smaller groups instead of massing just a few different units. I also like the changes to protoss's defense so they don't have to rely so heavily on a few units doing things just right. Like the mothership core or the force fields from sentries. While the force fields are still very much needed they aren't as dire as they were before with the shield batteries or so it feels anyways.
