The park fee is different from the transportation fee because one is a federal budget and one is a private budget. Even Thais consider corruption within their own system. Its not about inconveniencing you, its about protecting their own money from book cooking. Have you ever noticed how Thais take photos of every transaction they make, even when dealing with family? They need an accurate statement of proof when giving or collecting money. Why do you think that is? Think about it.
