I remember when FS1 started, I tried to get used to it but it just wasn’t “Speed.” They barely broadcasted any racing events due to the influx of viewers watching football or baseball. Usually when there was a race broadcast, I would take it for granted and watch it. But now, TV isn’t just the same without Speed. Thanks for the memories as always.
@gnnascarfan2410 Жыл бұрын
When FS1 started they had a "Sports Center" program called: "FOX Sports Live". That show was a complete failure to the point it didn't even last beyond 2015! NASCAR RaceDay stopped going to racetracks regularly after 2013, they stopped going COMPLETELY after the 2015 season. What did we lose SPEED Channel for? Absolutely nothing.

Still to this day, it just pisses me off. As soon as Speed went away, I just quit watching all together. Fox Sports 1 just wasn't the same. They say that much more of your favorites will be coming along with us, that was not entirely true. Fox Sports 1 was just a sports channel, for racing, basketball, football, and others, but what about my favorites, the side shows like Pimp My Ride, Monster Jam, Wrecked, and others, well they forgot about though's didn't they. I think they only done it because they were just sick, and tired of the name, it's like when they started as Speed Vision, later they stuck with Speed, now they go, and throw that in the trash, and go for the worst, Fox Sports 1, what a stupid decision. At this point I'm so glad I have my Nintendo DS game Monster Jam to remember my favorite channel, Speed.

Frankly why couldn't Fox have kept Speed as the motorsport division of Fox Sports 1 (and maybe drop all the other stupid programs they were airing on it and just focus on the actual racing) and have Fox Sports 1 broadcast all other sports? Seems like the logical thing to do if you ask me. P.S. If anyone's wondering I hope to bring the Speed Channel back in the future, using the same logo, same theme, same everything basically, if Fox will let me at least. And yes, it WILL broadcast ONLY motorsports and not motorsport programs (except for maybe something like Fox's NASCAR Race Hub) or anything else really. Chances are this new Speed will mostly focus on just NASCAR and not that much on other motorsports.
