The takeaway: The soulmate guy finds a way to comfort her when she needs it the most, after so many let downs she probably feels inadequate "everyone else is finding their true love here" she seems to think. But he finds a way to get into her heart by offering her a tissue to blow her nose. At that moment, she has no standards. She is basically giving up, thinking this will not work for her. He makes her feel overwhelmed at first, but he keeps gently trying to push her to see what he has to offer. When she realises that he is kind, has some talents, and can be a positive force in her life, she lets down her guards and they end up clicking and leaving together. But this would never have happened if he didn't insist. She was already judging him from the get-go. But he was smart and proved her otherwise at first, softening her heart for him. The other guys were (unintentionally for some) brutal to her, and they didn't want to prove her wrong. This one did. That's the difference. :)

Finding what you want, that picture in the head of a women of what mr right looks like can be an "E" ticket ride to a short term relationship. The trick is finding a guy who looks like mr right and has the skill and motivation to figure out what a woman needs. Something it took me a long time to figure out, relationships are a skill we learn from out parents and is taught by the example they make. Chances of someone who grew up in a home surrounded by failed relationships not living their life same way are minimal.

BREAKDOWN OF ALL THE CHARACTERS/ARCHETYPES 3:57 - Never knew boundaries/manners. Doesn't know/doesn't care about other people's needs/boundaries. 3:36 - The protagonist gets disgusted by his love for mice/rodents. Maybe he appears too childish to her. 5:15: Mister emotionally unavailable Dolce Gabbana! Looks flawless, but no personality. The computer = 100% rejecting body language. 6:00: The protagonist becomes aware of her lack of success at this point and compares herself to other people. 6:15: Emotionally unavailable as well. Doesn't look to be in good shape, isn't. Runs on sugar and crashes into the table. 6:24: Anything this character says, the protagonist doesn't hear because she doesn't relate to him at all. 6:42: This guy obviously has some flaws and reactive problems (intimidating her) but would he cry over a puppy? That's the question. 6:51: Making yourself look much better than you are because you're insecure, but the flaws come out in a single conversation. 7:10: He is wearing a Real Men Love Cats tee. So he has a strength in that. But he is addicted to fast food, she rejects him immediately- 7:27: A guy who cannot stress enough to her that he has had such a hard tough life. Probably just needs a friend doesn't he. 7:53: Finally, the soulmate guy finds a way to comfort her when she needs it the most, after so many let downs she probably feels inadequate "everyone else is finding their true love here" she seems to think. But he finds a way to get into her heart by offering her a tissue to blow her nose. At that moment, she has no standards. She is basically giving up, thinking this will not work for her. It is striking that the girl isn’t interested in giving anything to her potential partners, like at all. She makes zero effort to comfort them or to understand what their problem is underneath their flaws. She only looks for what each guy has to offer to her, without giving anything back. But that’s not how healthy and reciprocal relations work. And that’s why she struggled so much to find anyone. She has narcissistic traits. It’s not accidental that she chose a red coloured garment. She wants all the attention for her. Also, her stepping distractedly into the puddle with one foot and then immediately stepping with the other one on purpose suggests an infantile personality.

Ah, what a beautiful story. A beard is a moldable asset. It can change, but that won't change the man. The beard symbolizes giving, and sharing. She will help him keep it well groomed by being the recipient of his ever-growing, real, natural, and organic love. I love that she is discerning and cares for herself. That she knows what she does not want. That she responds to good character fast, and reconsiders things. So much is told to women, given to them, sold to them. For all of us, we have reflexes and aversions to things outside our norms, as taught and given to us. I loved how the needlepoint tied in their mutual love for craftsmanship, though that was symbolic, too. Homespun love. It was a wonderful story. In the end, the high self-worth she had was well-preserved. She made a great choice, and found someone of real intrinsic value. I am saddened at how many people perceived the female subject as lacking in self-esteem or standards, or someone seeking to be filled, rescued, or loved. I think a lot of people go into things looking for love. Others go into things looking to share love. In the end, the needlepoint shows him with his full beard. Even if well-groomed and tamed by how much giving, sharing, and loving he now gives, share, and loves--the original manifestation of him is featured. And if it comes down to the best guy in a big ass beard, then let the beard lovin' flow! Life is so short to miss out on a person's strengths.
