I always liked Speed Demon. In the late 90s I bought his mxtape that had techno on Side A and funky house on the B side. The track selections was on point the mixing was inconsistent and straight up atrocious at times. He train wrecked twice on a studio mixs. It's kinda forgivable during a live set but I can't fathom how someone could put out a promotional studio mix with such horrible mixing. @26:05, he just gives up and slides the fader all the way over after coming in off beat and speeding the track up and down while never getting the beats matched. @32:00, less than ten minutes after his last failed mix he comes in off beat, fades the track he's trying to mix out, then comes back in and train wrecks. This is inexcusable and it's amazing he didn't just record a better set.

it depends... but then again who knows? if you booked time in a studio, then maybe you only have one chance to record the set. so if you mess up, then that's how it's going to fly, unfortunately. -if you don't have or don't want to spend more money and time at the studio. if he did this at home, then yeah... train wrecking like that 2x is pretty unforgivable. i feel the guys pain. i always hated messing up deep into a mix just start all over again. it's time consuming and nerve racking. comping together a mix from various passes via tape editing is also pain in the butt. when it's not your day, it's not your day. that's how it was in the 90's jajajaja...
