I went to the gym for an hour and just played Speed Demon on repeat. I thought War Machine was my favorite DGD song, but Evaporate and Speed Demon are tied for 1st

They're good, but I personally think the song they released 6 months ago "War Machine" blows them out of the water. Also, Andrew sounds much better on War Machine as well.

Genuinely these two singles capture the feeling I had shortly after the release of DTBM2. Incredibly excited for the future of this band.

These two songs Exemplify why I have for like 8 years been saying that Tilian is (was) holding them back. He was given WAYYY WAY too much Creative Control after Instant Gratification and everything became very rote and formulaic and to me it felt very much like Will and Matt especially were only able to flex technically and not creatively. The Secret Bandrew era of DGD has none of those issues.

Couldn’t disagree more. If anything, Tilian put DGD on the map. They weren’t ever as popular than the last 4 years. Tilian is the push that got them there. Andrew even said in an interview this week that they finally reached a top 10 billboards. They were at a whole new level. I do believe they will survive with out Tilian, but I don’t personally think they can get back to the peak level without Tilian. But also, straight to the heart helps to give me hope. The end part with the deeper voice of Andrew was fire!

@@VSstudio3D I mean sure, they had more mass appeal with him But I also historically have 'hot takes' about DGD as far as DGD fans are concerned. At the end of the day, they make art and its never supposed to be for everyone so its only right that people disagree.
