And yes...it is crap writing that waters everything down.

Not to imply that any of this actually makes sense (because that's a rabbit hole, let's be honest), I suppose you could argue that this form has meaning/attachment to all of them. The Speed Force would look like Nora to Iris because that's the only way in which she was ever described by Barry. Likewise for Little Nora and Bart - they were likely introduced to the speed force by Barry. Also, since she'd technically looks like their grandmother, this would sort of track? I guess? In Jay's case, she's a doppelganger for his wife so that one does make sense, it just so happens Jay's wife is also a doppelganger for Barry's mom. All that said, I doubt the writers actually cared. they just didn't want to cast another actor lol

Ok I was so so with Nora but when Bart referred to Jay as "Uncle Jay" that was cool. For those that don't know, in the old comics, the Flash Family Line even with the relative changes from the comics to the show, has always been established as Jay, Barry, Wally, Bart. With Jay being the father figure to Flash, but a grandfather or uncle figure to the younger generations like Wally and Bart.

I feel like Nora (Jr) was written to be like 17 but they cast somebody in their mid 30s. It's so weird that they cast somebody older than both Grant Gustin and Candice Patton and had her act like a teenager. It makes all of their interactions so strange. I have nothing against Jessica Parker Kennedy but they needed to write a more age appropriate character for her. I mean, having a time travelling daughter show up who is older than the Flash and more experienced than him could have been a really fun dynamic,

Think about it. Jay who is a variant of Barry's father who is himself a variant of Barry(90s) is hitting on the speed force that looks like Barry's mother. In other words Barry's mom was married to a man who is a variant of her son. Jay Garrick = Barry's dad = Barry Allen(1990s) = Barry(Modern)

How does that confuse pipo. My concern would have been how did the spark come from in season 1 when Iris touched Barry when he was in comma? I thought that could be because she comes from the 30th century from the comics and could be developed in season 8.

For me I only watched the flash to a certain point where iris died and then they had to make sure she didn’t die and then yeah they took out the yellow flash and I stoped watching from there. For me I think that was a great ending for me. After this the show just took way too much of a stupid turn. It’s so repeated, there’s always a faster person and then they die and another comes back. I watched a video where they are taking out the god speedster by turning themselves into powerangers jedis which for me just got me to never watch the flash 😂

It’s kind of funny how the CW just likes to undo trauma. Take Barry, both his parents died but now he has Jay who looks like his dad and the Speed Force who looks like his mum - and they act like it too so he basically has his family back. Or Supergirl. Krypton was destroyed but it turns out that Argo - THE MAIN CITY WHERE HER ENTIRE LIFE WAS - survived including her mother and best friend. Then ON TOP OF THAT, her father turns out to be alive and she rescues him too. It really takes away the meaning of pain and losing loved ones when they just come back to life or can still be physically represented in some way. It also ruins these shows’ message about coping with grief and channeling it into power and resolve.
