Simple action film: Bad guy does bad thing, add couple of good guy and heroine with good chemistry, practical effects and non-stop action. Cut off all extra (you don't need to make stand against or for something in like this). Voilá excellent action film that that works decade after decade as pure entertainment.

Hi Addie!😊 This film was a huge box office success when it came out! Everybody was going to this. Jack's boss played Miles Dyson in T2. Yep, one of the bus passengers is Ferris Bueller's best friend Cameron. Good guess on the bad guy being a cop, Addie. Dennis Hopper is very well cast as the villain. Great reactions to this fast paced and well-made film, Addie!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

For another fun Sandra Bullock movie that most people haven't even seen, much less reacted to, check out "Love Potion No. 9". MythBusters took on Speed at one point, and found out two things that were cool in the movie but just don't work in real life. They tried the high speed turn, and found out that no, the bus wasn't going to tip over. They then tried the bus jump, and found out that much like the sheep in Monty Python, the bus would not so much fly as plummet. It would have just nose-dived right off the edge. Once again, they proved that movie physics are much more fun than real physics.

I know how old I was when this movie came out, because the second time I went to watch it, they asked how old I was. "I'm 26, why?" So obsessed with this for a long time, sadly it was before the proper Internet so I couldn't get hooked up with other fans. Anyway, saw it three times in the theater, have the DVD, made both my grown-up children watch it. My daughter wondered why I'd wanted to give her a heart attack. Um, anyway, great movie - very tense but with comedic and romantic moments sprinkled in. Always enjoy watching your reactions, Addie!

Fun fact, for the movie they actually made a bus jump, although not over an empty space, but over a continuous asphalt bridge. They used a ramp, that's why when it gets to the edge it looks like the front of the bus rises, and then in edition they removed from the film the ramp and part of the bridge to make it look like it jumped over a gap.

You should watch either "Turner & Hooch" or "Big" sometime soon their comedies starring Tom Hanks and were part of my childhood growing up! And both "The Game" starring Michael Douglas/Sean Penn as well as "The Edge" starring Anthony Hopkins/Alec Baldwin are some top notch thrillers IMO.

Speed is a classic! I've never really been into action flicks, but I love Speed, easily my favorite one, seen it a bunch especially when I was younger..

This is the best "Die Hard on a XXX" movie.. There are so many of them in the 90s.

When I was a kid, I didn't get the "really big pinto" joke. (Pintos are "known" to explode when rear ended) Anyway, great movie. Sandra Bullock is adorable. And Keanu's Jack is inspiration for Chris Redfield in Resident Evil!

This movie made Sandra Bullock America's Sweetheart, and men everywhere fell in love with her, for very understandable reason. In this movie, she was the epitome of a wpman who triggers the male protective instinct.
