The hobby has been needing a graphical interface for DCC for a long time and this seems to be that! Nice job. Looking forward to more board formats.

Great information as always and definitely looks way easier to speed match over prior methods. There's a large reflection on your screen on the table that makes it hard to see what you're touching. Check your overhead lights for the future to prevent the glare.
@SoundtraxxDCC2 жыл бұрын
We realize there is a reflection. That is why we have the screen recording inserted. The full view is just so you can see the general area that he is touching if you don't initially see the buttons move on the screen recording.

This is wonderful- especially the speed matching ease. A couple questions. Is it possible to consist with a combination of Blunami and tsunami 2? How would one go about that?
@SoundtraxxDCC2 жыл бұрын
In DCC you can consist Tsunami2 and Blunami. The Blunami decoders will operate just like Tsunami2 in this case. You cannot control Tsunami2 decoders with the Blunami App though.

A freind of mine just installed Tusnami2 on his Rapido FA-1. He told me after he matched the CV settings with the A&B unit, he did not need to speed match. Looks like in the video he sent me that he is not having consist speed problems.

Sometimes you get lucky and speed matching is not necessary. It depends on the models.

Does it remember this when I put these two locomotives back in a consist?
@SoundtraxxDCC5 ай бұрын
When you close the app, you will have to re-consist the locos. But that is easy and quick, so it is not a big deal. You can leave the app open, just minimize it when you are not running your trains if you’d rather. But consisting is quick, so not a huge deal. But, it is noted and will be passed to the app developers for a possibility of this in future revisions.

@@SoundtraxxDCC I have 3 Blunami locomotives and I speed matched them using the app. I recommend speed matching on an oval test track and starting off with the locomotives uncoupled from each other. After tinkering with the +/- I eventually got them all to complete the oval staying a few inches of spacing between each other, in all 3 speed zones. The app remembers the speed matching, so even if I consist only 2 of the 3, they stay speed matched. The ghosted out throttle setting of the non-lead locomotives is very helpful to confirm the previous settings. Make sure you have your locomotives fully setup the way you want the speed table, inertia, etc. first before doing the speed matching.

Can blunami work on hornbys train's to both us and uk?
@SoundtraxxDCC2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the model. Right now we only have have the BLU-2200 board format right now. The models this board will work in will be limited by space constraints and stall current. We do have more board formats in the works. We also do not have UK specific sounds on Blunami decoders yet.

That is a very useful feature! Speed matching the old fashion way is very tedious and takes far longer.

Agreed!

Surprised its taken this long to be honest.. Was only talking to a mate the other week about how easy it should be with out having to go and change the intricate details.

Do the upgraded blunami decoders in 2024 use the back emf and curent draw to automatically speed match locomotives or are they all still manual? Railpro is automatic soni cant understand why blunami cannot be either since you gius are known for innovation and cutting edge materials and make your own stuff in Colorado sobit should be doable.
