Sir AOA I have a question that As you tought us that v is inversely proportional to square root of Density of medium and as solid have high density so why sound travel faster in solid than liquid and gases?????

As Speed of sound is inversely proportional to the density so the dry gases are more denser than moist air so the speed of sound wave will be Greater in moist air. Clear written in book that if humidity increases than speed of sound will also increase. Sir thory s confuse ho gy shyd

Assalam alaikum... You said that speed of sound in dry air is greater than speed of sound travel in moist air .... It's totally wrong Sir. Please update your this lecture because many students relia on your lecture.... Let me tell you one example... Why at night time we hear more sound in winter season as compare to summer...? Because of moisture present in air... That mean speed of sound travel more faster in moist air.... Thank-you so much.... Hope you'll not mind on my suggestion...
