Really great looking minis, what a neat idea of putting a wash on the white.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. The wash definitely helps with shading the overlaying colours without having to go over the top of the colour after painting (I hope that makes sense). Have a great day :)

I thought, let's make them a little different to so called traditional Stone Troll blue. I does work I think and I'm quite happy with it. Thank you again for continuing to watch my content. Hopefully I can make you pick a paint brush up if you haven't already :)

That green/blue colour was very nice! Sometimes I wonder why I keep doing "normal" painting with base, layers, wash...takes too long.^^'

I painted with normal paints and techniques once upon a time lol. Now I just like to get things done

It's a nice colour. Most of the speed paints I have tried from Army Painter are nice although there are many I have not tried yet. Also one or two I do not care for. I guess all paint ranges are the same in that regard. Than you for leaving a comment

Thank you again for these ❤ I got 6 trolls, 3 from AoS and 2 of the ones you have and 1 I got from etsy so this video will come in really handy for me.

Also, how long roughly did it take you to paint these?
@DecrepitGaming6 ай бұрын
Really fun to paint, just don't be intimidated by them, you won't ruin them :)
@DecrepitGaming6 ай бұрын
I would say a couple of hours, but a lot of that time was waiting for stuff to dry. Get them sprayed white, add the nuln oil. Then once that is dry you will fly through, not long at all, I could easily have done all 6 in one sitting but I didn't want to bore folks.

Hi, i like your paint job.. I will sugest, mix a small part of gloss vernish with white prime (in the primer phase ) .. in the wash phase, mix nul oil with flow improver...will reduce de coffe steam in the nul oil phase . With this recipe, use small quantity of speed paint on the brush .. give a shot and tell me ..
@DecrepitGaming6 ай бұрын
I will certainly try the flow improver in the nuln oil. The gloss varnish is harder as I do not want to prime with an airbrush (although I could and I have before). I will have to think about how it can easily be done. I am all for learning new things and I thank you for taking the time to leave me a constructive comment. Have a great day :)
@beldran6 ай бұрын
@@DecrepitGaming Hello, so... the varnish mixed with the primer will not only soften the wash but also work better with the contrast paint. In this case, you will use a smaller amount of contrast paint on the brush and use more of its transparency effect, thus letting the lines outlined by the wash stand out more,
@beldran6 ай бұрын
@@DecrepitGaming another way is keep using white spray to prime, but after dry, give a coat of satin varnish over the white...

Subbed!!! Right do i have to use nuln oil? I only have army painter so will dark tone do the same or will i have 2 thin it down wiv a medium? Iv got the skull pass boxset from when i was a kid n only primed the goblins black, gonna strip them n prime them white n use this version of the slapchop method:)
@DecrepitGaming3 ай бұрын
Use the strong tone, just remember to wait until it’s fully dry then heavy dry brush of white. Then start your colour scheme. Have fun achieving results:)
