I don't see what's the issue here, if you think the video is too fast and too loud, mute the sound and change the speed to the slowest, or if you really want to learn the steps, download the whole video (takes few minutes only) and slow it down on VLC! I don't think any of you would be here if you are not already use to using Photoshop. Or just go to his homepage, (link's given), everything is thoroughly explained! Give the guy a break, I was able to follow all the steps here! Thank you for making it so easy, Glyn.

Good lord folks it's just a run through video. The guy is giving away tons of amazing info for FREE. If you don't like the music hit the mute button. If it's a bit fast hit pause and take a few notes. What has happened to common sense and class in this day and age? Thanx Glyn Dewis

Very true Elaine, I did just that, paused and made notes. The only (minor) problem I had was that the video didn't go sharp, so it was a bit of a guess at first. Maybe that was down to me and my PC, not anything to do with the video. However, I did one of my own, and I just love the outcome! A great tutorial. Keep it up Glyn.

I liked the way this is presented! Have your finger on the pause button the first couple of times, taking notes at each stage. Run through it a couple of times afterwards, stopping when you need to. If you can play it through unstopped and understand each stage after putting in the effort, well, you've learned something valuable! Put the work in - tutorials can't be a one-watch, magic bullet.

Why all the pointless hate here? This was a cool video (with an appropriate soundtrack). It's meant for entertainment. If you don't like it, simply move on. A number of you in the comment section here need to grow up. Glyn here is a skilled artist taking his time to share his art with us. Stop acting so entitled. He isn't somehow obligated to spoon feed you every step of the process. Maybe try doing some work and actually figuring some stuff out for yourselves.

I hardly dislike anyone's comment but when I do...It's usually because they don't know how to use the mute button or don't know it exists, or they don't know how to show more in the description on the bottom of the video or don't know how to read. To make it even worse...given the first two are pretty simple and cant comprehend that I doubt after you find the instructions you'd be able to follow them.

I see that there are workarounds to the problems with how this video is presented, but why present it that way if there's a genuine desire to instruct and help? Makes me think that there's either just a genuine desire to impress, or the creator is being paid by someone for the number of mouse clicks per unit of time (kidding). There are plenty of other people on youtube who know the material and can communicate it in a viewer-friendly way. So, there's no good reason to watch this one over others. I hope Mr. Dewis' other videos do not have this unnecessary barrier (I'll do some looking now) and that future ones will all be presented so that his apparent expertise can benefit more people.

Glyn Dewis I think the whole shebang is GREAT, Glyn. For once, instead of listening to someone ramble-on extemporaneously about 'how to' do this or that you quickly git to the gist of your method here. Having taken plenty of folks "by the hand" in order to help them understand how PS, LR and related plugins work (individually and amongst each other) - only occasionally seeing "the light go on" - I keep asking myself "Why?! Why bother...". Suggestion: Glyn does something here, CLICK 'Pause'. Think about it for a moment. Click 'Play'... and on and on. A great method for teaching Intermediate/Advanced PS users to employ a particular look in their work. Love it. (And the music - though I'm not all that into banjo...) Cheers.

Watch this video with one hand on your space bar to pause it and the other hand to right it down...and be aware that the 4th step to reduce grayscale is an actual filter from Nik Silver Efex. It doesn't come with CS6. It's separate. The music kinda warns ya it's not going to be slow moving...gives ya somewhere to start then you gotta figure it out yourself.

I couldn't quite tell either, though I suppose if I cared enough, I could have a proper look and try to pause the video and see if I could make it out. It's the one he's using when converting to greyscale. That's the only issue with the video really, everything is straight forward if you know Photoshop.

For all the people being unappreciative on here, the problem isn't the video or how fast he was going, it's just that your existing knowledge of image editing software seems to be lacking, so you should start with a more basic tutorial. University classes don't rehash elementary school, if they did they wouldn't have time to get to the important stuff. Also, those of you saying he's showing off, this is still much too basic to be showing off. Notice how it's 8 SIMPLE steps, they really are.
