Speed Run: Hack a leggings pattern to add side pockets

In this video, I am specifically using the So Sew English - kid's London Leggings pattern (affiliate link: bit.ly/3KKXNDs) but this method could be used to add an exterior pocket/side stripe to hack any leggings pattern (of any length; shorts or pants). If you prefer not to have a contrasting stripe appearance, you can use the same fabric for your main and side panels.
Galaxy Heart DBP fabric is also from So Sew English.
