Loved that even the old guy jumped out to help push the stranded motorist to safety. Thanks for caring for others and stay safe.

How many different cameras do you have/use during a shift? Which apparatus is your favorite to film on? I enjoyed the different views during both responses
@SpeedbirdFF4 жыл бұрын
Thank you CDM5120! I have 4 cameras and a couple of members also have a camera. Usually there’s only time to mount two but sometimes we have a heads up and can have more ready to go and running by the time we’re formally dispatched. I like the ladder truck and rescue truck for filming but recent changes to procedures will greatly reduce the number of calls the rescue responds to. Engine 1 allows for a clamp mounted camera to film with a view of the hose bed, which I like. Engine 2 and Engine 3 do not allow for this.

How long until y’all start back responding from the front of the station?
@SpeedbirdFF4 жыл бұрын
We’re back to normal operating procedures now. I believe this is the last video from the back. We’ve been in slow bit for a while now so I’m not sure when the next video will be.

A combination of one incident with "Lawn mower fire and gas leak" sounds like some exam scenario

I'LL BE DAMNED, IT IS A LAWN MOWER FIRE!!!!! ok what did the rider run over???
@SpeedbirdFF4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure the cause of this fire. Riding mower fires are actually a common occurrence. In my experience it's usually one of two things; fuel in contact with hot motor parts or dried grass/brush in contact with hot motor parts. I don't know what happened in this instance.

I responded on a riding lawnmower fire today in my fire district in Oklahoma
@alexandersalarms53803 жыл бұрын
My dad had a lawn mower on fire when he used to be a landscaper. He said the cause was brush got into the motor and caused a fire. He had a fire extinguisher in his truck, thank god for it.
