Happened in March 2019), and I had a rear sway bar replacement when I ran over some debris on the highway and it somehow snapped one end of the sway bar loose without breaking anything else. Both were done under warranty(I had the 8 year unlimited mile bumper to bumper up until a month ago). Do get the slow driver window occasionally, but just hit it with lubricant once or twice a year.

Then tried installing Z1 motorsports hotbox piggyback tuner and it threw throttle position sensor codes and engine started up hard and running rough. Turned it off then engine wouldn't fire back up. Removed it, then it fired back up. Z1 asked if its been tuned. I have no idea. Doesn't seem tuned. Also, when I accelerate from a stop and then let off the throttle, the car jerks and gives me whiplash, I can't tell if valve body, back pressure, or something else. Hey I’m from NC and am an Infiniti tech. Yeah turbo failure and also engine failure is very common on the OLDER VR30, think they fixed it 2018 and afterwards. Mostly an oil starvation issue similar to what the RB motors had from what I’ve heard, very rare issue is having a porous engine block that allows coolant to leak. The blend door motor is a bitch to get too, just a tight space. The slow window issue is most likely a window run needing replacement, easy to do. I personally purchased a universal 10 row single pass fluid cooler from Mishimoto and used -6AN hoses to cool the ATF in my 16' 3.0t Red Sport 400 awd, currently odometer is showing 93,346 miles and it was one of the best mods I've ever done. The cooler does the job perfectly, by matching up the hoses to the oem hoses i don't see much pressure loss or increase of pressure in the valvebody, it's not cooling the ATF too much or not enough. I can beat on here and drive it hard, or be sitting in traffic in the summer and it's working perfectly. I monitor my ATF temps just to be sure. My next upgrade will more than likely be another Mishimoto universal fluid cooler to replace the OEM oil cooler, but I'm monitering oil temps, just to be sure, since the red sport models have a thermostatically controlled oil cooler, guess we'll see in the next month or so.

Factory rotors are true on my sport , got them resurfaced and once they ruined I’m have to replace them. Transmission is still good at 85k. But he’s right with the common issues. I got a backup 3.7 belt in case it shreds.

wow my old q50 3,7 had the trans value body and ac blend actuator go out within the first 2 months but luckily the warranty covered both

What were your symptoms with the trans? Mines acting funny. Shifting hard and feels like it’s drag in the transmission. Seems like the torque converter is always in play

Bought my '17 Q50 Sport CPO. Purchased the Wrap Policy Elite Warranty through Infiniti. HIGHLY recommend it if you're looking to buy an Infiniti. Covers bumper to bumper for 8 years from date of inception with zero deductible. I have had almost everything this video talked about mechanically done at no charge out of pocket.

Can you get this warranty if you bought from dealership other than Infiniti?Just bought a 2018 silver sport with 87k I want to protect myself

@@Skilly713 I don't think so. It was only available on Certified Pre-owned vehicles sold through Infiniti. Could be worth a call though. If not, there are aftermarket warranties that are really good though.

I'm curious about this transmission failure. Never heard about it before. My sister had Ex35 for 8 years, did 180k miles, no problem with AT. I know that we have AT7, but is it that much worse? How about transmission from 3,0TT, IT is also 7AT, but I heard, that it can handle much more torque. Does it mean, that it doesn't have the same issue as 3.7 ? Are gears the same lenght in 3.0 and 3.7 :-) ? And finally - those doors blends, or how you called them. This a common issues in some french cars. I found, that, while, you change direction of flow, when fan is spinning fast it is more common to have this failure - maybe the same concerns Q50. For now I have 55k miles, and no problems with transmission or air door blend :) Greets from Poland.

@SpeedCultureStudios2 жыл бұрын
@@antsy602 well now that’s not true lol. And it’s a pretty broad statement. The 7spd auto isn’t too bad overall and is actually pretty good in the newer Q. The cvt they use in other vehicles is garbage but that’s just because it’s a cvt. There are a lot of cars out there with poor transmissions with far more issues, I am sure.
