Another question for you. When you said “I will change my serial number” 12:37 . Do you just change it to the serial number on the side of the scooter or do you pick an arbitrary serial number? Thank you for the help thus far!

Its depends witch motor you have. If you have a new motor(PADH)then I use serial on the side. If its a gen 1 or 2 them i use somting like N4GSDXXXXCYYYY X is year and week ex 2330 and y is whatever number you like ex 1337

When I followed your previous tutorial for the 3 capacitor board with the debug terminals on the bottom and soldered them to it like you said in that video. When I click launch recovery button it says “couldn’t connect to ST-Link” any suggestion on what to do? I have verified that my solder connections are solid and not interfering with each other. Thank you!

Hi. Have you checked so all connection is right and that you have installed all st link drivers properly?

@@WattsnabbAB just went back and verified the drivers and they weren’t correct. Fixed that and it worked! Now it’s shaking like it did near the end of your video so I’m going to try the fix you did once my android device is charged. Thank you for the response! Edit: in case anyone sees this in the future I downloaded the new drivers from the ST website STSW-LINK009. Extracted them in a folder on my desktop and told the STLINK to find the updated drivers there

@@sethhubbard698 if you have the new motor you need to do same serial number as on scooter and use shfw(187) for it to work. Sometimes you need to install shfw 2 times for it to work.

ty man I just did the procedure with the 3 capacitor controller. Engine bug. Just flashed a new firmware and it's gone. I changed to Us to get the cruise control and more speed. Problem is that during charge it doesn't go to charging mode so it doesn't display the battery percentage. I was wondering to solve it by installing a custom firmware after flashing it again(I installed the 1.8 drv from app)

@@MrRedLord hi. The issue is the serial number. Try to use same as om scooter and charging mode will be back. But it can affect when you riding and breaking. You scooter will go in charging mode and restart because you increase the power. That’s why they turned it off.

But with original serial I will lose cruise control. Anyway now during hills the speed is terrible. Probably it thinks there's a Us motor gen 2. In this case probably the best thing is to flash a custom firmware with cruise control and don't update from Segway app

Thanks. Its then dashboard connector. I had a spare of them. You can also solder on the dashboard for 5v and gnd. So i connect a dashboard connector to the controller and from it connect 5v and gnd to the st link.

I am using an external battery for extended range but my new controller does not allow the battery to be used while driving - it will only charge when stationary. Any change this can be changed in an easy way?

Thank you for this information but I have one question. I have a nine bot G 30 I try to flash a custom firmware, and now the scooter won’t turn on long enough to connect to the Bluetooth. Turns on briefly and shuts right off so I would like to know if I do this process should I be able to fix the problem?

Hi. You have used wrong firmware. Need to st link it.

No not really but becuse you increase power you will have mord power. Best way is to buy external battery to get longer range.

hi, you have some good videos about electric scooters I have understood that the new (black) controller can ST-link when I select AT32.. but then I'm a little doubtful about the rest you say.. can I hack it like the others or are there limitations.. what it's about is making the animal run faster..

Hi yes you can hack it like the others, you have to use shfw and not built a firmware on web. Shfw is the config tab I scooterhacking:)

Hello again and thanks for your quick reply I have now done as you prescribed and ST-Link my new type of controller in MAX (G30).. I have used SHFW Regular-Base 187-v0.3.6 and tried several setups with Profiler etc. and I can only get it to work in sports mode and max 28kmh with a full battery.. if i buy one of your controllers.. is it then possible to get more speed.

Hi, My Original G30 Max Controller has Dies as I Cant Re Flash Custom Firmware or even Stock Now. I have Been Using an External 48V Battery Pack that requires its Custom Firmware. If I was to buy any G30 Controller, will this will ST Linker Still Work? I've been told have to use a Original?

You need to have costumfirmware to use 48v. So you need a controller that have that on it.
