Thanks for you support everyone! Please comment and let me know about your own experience with strut tower braces, and stay tuned for a video on the front brace. The rear tower brace in this video costs $299 from speedlogix and can be purchased here: www.speedlogixstore.com/product-p/sx-306-5013a.htm

Hey CT, I did this about a year ago on my 18 Scat. I would say the level of difficulty at least for me was 7 to 8. Getting one side mounted was not so bad the other side took patience. Instead of using those square plastic covers I cut carpet (same color) as the carpet in the trunk then put Velcro on the back and covered the cuts for the bars to the mounts. Came out pretty good. I also already installed struts on the engine bay. To say she is steady now sells it short. Good Job!
@CTHellcat4 жыл бұрын
After seeing how the plastic fits, I think carpet might not be bad option if you wanna take the time to do it. And I agree that the hardest part is getting the second side pushed into position! Thanks bro!

Awesome. Great install video and glad you love it. What I like is that it doesn’t take up storage too badly. Looks good.

Yeah man - I've seen a number of other rear braces and I never liked how they negated so much trunk space. I think you'd like this mod on your Chally Burnsey.
@hemihead3924 жыл бұрын
On my scat challenger I have the speedlogix arched on the back, a petty garage single brace on the front and bmr lower control arms on rear. It's a definite improvement over stock, with very little noise or ride sacrifice. car feels planted and tight around corners, with almost zero wheel hop on hard launches. Your install came out good.🙏💪.

Thanks bro and it sounds like you got a pretty nice set up. Have you done any road course track day events? If not, I'd highly recommend them - an absolute blast.
@hemihead3924 жыл бұрын
No road courses, but do hit the drag strip fun nights. Would like to autocross it at some point. A buddy with a wb scat has his suspension pretty tricked out for road courses and I've seen the vids. Looks fun!
@CTHellcat4 жыл бұрын
@@hemihead392 Auto cross is a start, but you should try to hit a real race track if you can. Typically costs between $200-$300, but well worth it. If you get a chance, check out some of my track vids like this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpuoZHiId7Bnj68

Looks solid. I went with upgrading the rear trail arms and sway bar end links first and that really tightened things up for launching and road racing in the turns. This is on my mod list for sure.

Man that Legmaker really makes the supercharger shout! I'm on the fence about the LMI and other intakes since it opens up to the engine bay but I want to hear the SC more.
@CTHellcat4 жыл бұрын
If you are looking for sound, you can't beat the LMI for increasing the supercharger whine. The other nice thing about the LMI is that if you ever get into tuning, Diablo has a 93 Octane LMI tune built right into their tuner. It's a tune specific to hellcats with the LMI intake and claims to add another 20hp. I did this on mine - made a couple videos about this about 3 videos prior to this on in my video library.

NICE! Some more priming for the track! 👍👍 The 4 point looks like a nightmare to install.
@CTHellcat4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I watched some videos on the 4 point install and it's a LOT more involved. I'm so pleased with the results of the 2 point that I just don't see how it can be worth the extra cost and time, let alone the fact that the 4 point totally blocks your through-storage access when you put the seats down.

Nice write-up. I have the Mopar front brace on my '15 Challenger SRT 392 and quickly noticed an improvement. But I'm not kidding myself ... these big cars will never be "canyon carvers" like a sports car.

Nice job on the install video! That was much easier install than my four point brace and it takes up much less space than mine, I lost some cargo carrying capacity. I noticed that the car feels more planted after the installation of the strut tower braces, I would recommend it. Glad you are happy with it!

Try using a hair dryer to heat up those cover pieces and slightly bend them by hand so they have a small curve and sit more flat against the wheel well covers.

Don’t have a hell cat but just bought a rear strut brace for my e46 m3. Hoping to have the same results as you. I’ve seen so much stuff online the a rear strut brace is pointless, but I just don’t see how it wouldn’t have a solid positive effect.
@CTHellcat7 ай бұрын
I'm guessing it depends a lot on the factory suspension of the vehicles. Chargers are big heavy cars that aren't known for good handling, so there's a lot of room for improvement. M3's on the other hand are already great track cars. Hope you see some improvement!
@AC-wl7ve7 ай бұрын
@@CTHellcat might not be as drastic as a big muscle car but e46 m3s definitely have some body roll in the rear. Even though mine are reinforced now they are notorious for rear subframe cracking. I do wonder if a beefier sway bar would be better for the problem I’m trying to solve but I guess we’ll see.

Yep, I'm definitely not done with the suspension mods on this car. Did you feel the confort difrence ? Is it still comfortible ?
@CTHellcat4 жыл бұрын
Yes still comfortable. It doesn't overly restrict the up/down motion of the car when going straight. It's only in turns that it firms things up. I've experimented with lowering springs on both my chargers and THAT definitely makes the straight line ride much firmer.

Difference between this vs the 4 point towers?
@CTHellcat4 жыл бұрын
The 4 point have an extra two mounting points in the middle of the car behind the rear seats. Much harder accessing those bolts - gotta take all the trunk lining out. It also takes up a lot more space in the trunk. Supposedly gives more structural support, but to me the two point braces are a good balance between performance and practical usage of the trunk.
@vGREENARROWv4 жыл бұрын
CTHellcat oh okay. Another question.. if I get type back do I need the front as well??
