Great Video! One other Lower Setting Option - 25 watt seconds if you split the 400 channel between two heads ( you can just dump the extra head )

Used one for 28 years, very versatile. Be sure to use a safe sync when connecting to your camera to eliminate the possibility of voltage back feed which a fry camera electronics. 🙂 one head firing at 2400watt seconds makes an impressive POP!

You are welcome David. If you are shooting in a studio and find that you are moving the pack, one approach is to put it on a plant base that has wheels. These are made to hold heavy plants. They are called Plant Caddy's at Home Depot.

Great video Steve! I have the 2403 cx pack and I love it. It would be nice if there were more modern features like wireless adjustable packs that you could do with the wireless trigger. Other than that they are good affordable pack and head set that you can get used.

One reason I enjoy packs, especiailly big heavy ones like these is you can walk up to them and adjust the power. I think an update to a trigger would be great, not sure if Speedotron is set up for that.

I bought 2 Speedotron 2403CX packs with 4 102 heads and light stands with, grids, umbrellas and a few other things for $70 about 4 years ago. I haven't really had a need to use it yet, other than to test. I would like something smaller, but can't get myself to spend anymore money on lighting when this was so cheap.

@@matthewfossier6475 If you were local I would consider it. They weight on them would make it a pain to ship. Plus I would worry about the bulbs getting damaged in shipping.

@@jasonsandiego8982 yeah I’m having trouble finding one of these locally so I’m hoping someone would go through the pain to pack it and ship it properly, I’d be paying for it but still. Someone quoted me for shipping the bulbs separate from the pack and it was gonna be $90 to ship both from LA to TX. :)
