layers dont equal how good a drawing is, paintings like what remarin does dont need layers sometimes at all. its a good skill to have

How is it possible that you have such a small audience?? Both here and in DeviantART, this is sad man, your art is freaking beautiful

Thank you!! Well in one way, it is really damn exciting to see the numbers slowly getting bigger nwn/ I still remember when I reached a hundred watchers on dA and how exciting that was for me! And now I'm experiencing the very same thing here on youtube!

Dear Remarin, honestly you may never see this but you have been a big inspiration to me, all are art is so wonderful. You have inspired me to got out of my comfort zone and try lineless art and test out my capabilities pushing me forward in my art skills. I've watched a whole bunch of your vids while drawing along getting that constant loop of motivation, every time I see one of your speedpaints I feel like I understand the anatomy and technique in each piece. Every part of your art flows and is always so lively. Thank you for bringing your beautiful art public and allowing us to see it. You impacted and plenty of others with your art and I would hope that you keep up with your art for as long as you can. Again Thank you. (if you see this account was just created I'm creating this as my yt art channel my older account is ZoeyTheDragonElder, I am not a bot)

did you reference the arm/hands anatomy as you were going along? really nice shadows and light, the tiny detail of the veins along the biceps is really stunning
@Remarin8 жыл бұрын
Well, I went without reference, but when having trouble with the hands or arms, then I just look at my own for guidelines. (it would help if I were a bit more fit, to really see the way the muscles twist and turn, but it's at least a tiny bit visible) Tho I think if I were to really look at an anatomical muscle chart, I would find some misplacement here and there since I now mostly draw from memory. Doodling grabby hands and muscly arms nearly daily in my mini sketchbook certainly helps too

HHHHHHHHH this is so beautiful!!! By your art you always gets a kind of feeling, and the art itself tells a story that you don't have to tell you now the story if you just see it. And the werewolf says a kind of: "why did you do that?!" But in his mind he nows why and it's fate accepted.

I use Photoshop Element.10 ! Keep in mind tho that other versions have more features and fun stuff you could use (but are more expensive) plus I think there are newer updates to this "elements" as well ;0 Tho I'm really used to this one now, so I haven't bothered looking into anything else :>

What brush do you use to draw all that fur?
@Remarin8 жыл бұрын
It's a brush you can find in many downloadable brush packets, the specific set that I got it from can be found here: danluvisiart.deviantart.com/art/My-Brush-Pack-118954791 (I use the second one for the fur, but you can experiment with the others too to find what fits you the best!)

Hm? What is the brush called specifically? I actually use that pack.

Well I did mention that it's the second one that I use ;00 In my photoshop it's called "Hard round 19 1" and the deviantart-user who posted the pack calls it "Detailing Painting Brush"

I know this is an old video and you might never see this or reply but could you do a tutorial on how to use the program you’re using in depth? I can’t seem to find any really good tutorials for programs and my digital art absolutely sucks but yours is stunning.
@Remarin7 жыл бұрын
The best advice I can give on getting familiar with a program, is to experiment with as many features that may be useful to you. There are settings that I've only started using 4 years after having been drawing digitally, and that's simply because I didn't feel like those settings would add much to my art back then. You'll only get familiar by actually using the program. "Good tutorials" for programs would be the really long, reaally boring ones,, because getting used to a program *is* a learning process, for which there are even educational classes you can pay for online :'I If you do want to learn about features you might be unfamiliar with, I recommend looking at art critiques; because then you'll actually see what the features are used for, and what effect they have on the picture. example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaiUZ4mvi9SrZrM And I don't know how long you've been drawing digitally, but don't forget; for me it's been close to 7 years now, and in the past 2 or so years, I've become only more and more productive. I didn't even know of tutorials when I first started, so the only thing I could do is doing my best with what I knew I could do at that moment. But yeah I could do a tutorial on the basics, and the specific features that I've been using, but knowing that I'm still very unfamiliar with many settings, *and* that my version of photoshop is nowhere near as complex as the newest generation, it wouldn't be an "in depth" tutorial.
@literaltrash97457 жыл бұрын
Remarin thank you a lot for the link! I’ve been doing art all together for about 4 years but I’ve been doing digital for only one. I can’t seem to get past the way my art looks now. It’s very undetailed and armature because I feel when I detail it it just looks like a mess because I don’t really know what I’m doing. And even though it wouldn’t be a super detailed video I would still love to see a tutorial on some of the stuff that you use :)

Luke 18:9-14 New International Version (NIV) The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector 9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ 13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ 14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
