Awesome! I noticed that initially you only laid blocks of the dragon down. What I mean is that I could see the background peaking through. Was that to test the shape or shading of the dragon? Or was it to help the dragon blend into the picture?

ok I beg if u plz give me tips and teach me some place and if u have skype and is willing to thank you so much u have no clue how much it would mean to me

I don't use skype sorry :c If you have a Deviantart account, you could message me anytime there! But the best advice I can give is: look at reference, look at various artists' process (find out how they sketch, how they use simplified forms to make a creature) Try and experiment / improvise when you can't achieve a certain look,, and be aware that everyone learns in a different way. You gotta aim to find the way that fits you the best. There are art channels that you can look up, that can explain stuff way better than I can (but you gotta be patient sometime, since some videos might be half an hour long)

how many layers do you use?
@Remarin8 жыл бұрын
At the very beginning you can see the initial layers being made visible one by one,, I tend to separate background, main body and any effects (clouds, gradients, other objetcs) but that's only until I've "sketched" eveything and decided on what brightness/color values it should have. When I'm done adjusting the colors and contrasts, I put everything on one layer and start painting/cleaning up. When dealing with commissions I'll often still have main body and background on separate layers. Long story short, I can't give a definite answer since it varies with each picture and depends on which stage of the process I'm currently at :T
