One day, you want to ride your horse on a wonderful day, but when you enter, there it is laying down not at all breathing and you know you can’t do anything if its not breathing, you know you have to let it go, you can’t just stand there doing nothing, when the horses Spirit rises, that horse is always there watching what your doing and how you feel, your horse will feel the same because you know your horse is always in your heart and will never leave your side until you join your horse too. Both you and your horse will ride free with other Spirit horses and their owners we all know if our horse is gone, he or she will always be in your heart. Oh my gosh this is so darn old, loll well anyway thank you so much for the sweet comments and I’m sorry for your losses. But thank you again loll. xDD

This touched me because I personally have a strong connection to horses so this reminds me of the moment I cried myself to sleep when I lost my favorite horse named Lucy. She had to be put down because of a sickness.

I love this drawing, but every time I watch it, I cry. I relate to this girl in the art, because last year, I woke up early, and for some reason, just wanted to pet my dog for some reason. I reached around on my bed for her, and when I turned on the lamp beside my bed, she was just so still. It looked like she had been trying to get to me, and couldn’t make it halfway. The vet said it was a heart attack, but she was only six

At the first gunshot, I started crying and by the end I was sobbing. I recently found out that a pony I was pretty close to and that I had known for a long time (though I didn't lease it) had passed on to another, better place with no suffering. I was crushed. But there are always mixed emotions about this when this happens. For me, it's mixed with sadness, guilt and hope. Because you know you pony, or horse, isn't suffering, but you wish you still had more time with them.

Well.. this is extra sad, 'cause one of my friends used to go riding on her grandfather's horse. It passed, like, two years ago and my friend still misses him, and everytime we see a horse, that just slightly looks like he did, she becomes extremely sad. I feel so sorry for her :'(

The thing is, there are never enough words to explain a friendship with an animal.... it's just impossible. That animal, no matter what it is, will trust you more than any other, and you may trust them with your life. A friendship with a horse is like no other... It is sweet and bitter, it is fun and boring. It has its ups and downs, but the main thing is, you're risking more than what you are getting. When you have that animal... you are making a major sacrifice.... the separation of death. THAT is the biggest sacrifice you can make. When you are willing to face a life without them, that's when you know you really loved them. The thing is, when a creature dies... you are never apart, maybe by a distance but never by heart.
