The effect of those dipping inks is really nice. Feels a bit more saturated in the shadows than the other options. That said, I think some smoother dry brushing would make them look even better.

Try Descent 2nd Edition, lots of miniatures, and expansions. It plays like a more advanced Heroquest.

I'm finally ready to try my hand at painting some miniatures and using speed paint. For the black primer, do I need to use a certain kind of flat or matte black, or can I use a regular rattle can of Rust-Oleum or whatever?

It's old games ...but there's a ton of expansion sets and is expensive now but talisman is a awesome board game with cards and minis to paint and toads haha there's fan made stuff that expands the game as well... another old game I like is decent it comes with a ton of monsters and heros to paint and has modular tile boards in dungeon formats that is great and you with your laser cutter could make so many options lol you'd go mad 😂😂😂😂

Thanks for sharing! I must say that your dry brush of these monks isn't your best work, looks quite blotchy/grainy which still shows after the colours are applied. Do you still use the little wet pad when dry brushing?
