I watch both Jake and Guille and other dst content creator, i don't care how everyone define what speedrun is and i don't see there any rules written inside the don't starve together game. I don't play this game anymore, but i enjoyed jake video more than any other DST youtubers. The editing skill, music, humor ,etc . His just made me want to download this game and play again. I think i am the actual target audience on his channel, I feel happy, having fun and relax while watching this, I believe you can do anything part from DST and achieve the same or more, keep up you will get through this👍

Great video! I have a question: How would the speedrun look after the new scrappy scavengers update? To summon CC you now need scrap, and to get it in great ammounts you would need to kill the new Scrappy Werepig (and to summon him you need to kill the Shadow Werepig)... Although you can get some scrapp from hammering the fences in the scrap yard... So I am wondering, would you need to kill 2 extra bosses in the first part of the run 😅, or would you just need to find the junk yard and hammer some fences? 🤔

I think the fences provide plenty of scrap, so rather than 4 experiments you do 2 and destroy some fences 😁

Are twiggy trees really that bad? Cause in my experience, I easily find an abundance of twigs by simply picking them up off of the ground in 2-3 bunches rather than having to pick one from a sapling. It felt like I’m able to gather a lot more twigs this way.

I believe they're technically better after a few days, because pickings twigs from the floor is faster than picking saplings, but in the first few days it's so painful 😭

at this point, the total time/speed of boss rushes are is just how fast does bearger spawn and how fast can you kill him & his armoured counterpart

For a default world ye, so in the future we may start doing summer starts so Bearger isn't a bottle neck:)

@@GavinTaber Antlion has an exception and is like part of the environment so would spawn in first summer, but otherwise I imagine deerclops would be the bottle neck, but that's 36 days in to the run rather than traditional bearger bottle neck of ~75 days.:) So summer start has a much higher speed ceiling, hope that cleared things up:)

Dude, your content is great and interesting… but… I recommend you don’t show ALL audio clips from the streams, 90% of it is just making random loud noises. And I get it, it’s hard to be funny for 8 hours STRAIGHT on stream when you’re trying to focus on a very hard videogame, so you don’t have to show every stream moment in the video. My favorite parts were when you were breaking down the boss fights and I didn’t have to constantly hear the stream

After you defeat cc, the night will prevail for the rest of the current day, specifically a new moon night. It's useful to summon and fight the shadow pieces quickly if you assembled the marble setpieces. It's a possibility I thought, but I've never did this since fw loot is so useful, that's why I always rush fw as early as I can in winter. Although I consider a good strategy when you have grieferbottoms on the server spamming grimoire book.

Love the content Jakey! I was wondering though, do you ever have a few servers with buddies where you chill and take your time with stuff? I've speedrun a few bosses and found that my motivation to continue a server wanes once I've completed most of the endgame content.

Oh that's funny, I've always switched the meteor frequency to "tons" since I started playing DST just because I liked all the rocks it provided It never occurred to me that it would increase the odds of getting a Celestial Orb as well, I've always wondered why other folks had trouble getting it. haha EDIT: I also set all world sizes to small, because to hell with exploring all that.
