It's definitely one of the harder games to make content on. A lot of the game is about exploration which means most of the gameplay will be travelling around, which isn't exactly the most exciting. Plus with how long a normal challenge or playthrough can take, it's better as a player experience than a viewer experience.

Really happy to see this. I felt so powerful once I unlocked the full spear for the first time... really amazing seeing it in the hands of a master. Couldn't agree more with the ultimate conclusion too. Maybe Wolfgang still beats her out for sheer simplicity and unconditional DPS, but her actual gameplay w/ the spear charge is unmatched in the fun category. And all of this set to Mystical Ninja tracks and FamilyJules covers to boot!

Yeah, I wonder how much of this game is playable at all without looking for spoilers first... Good luck carrying all the 1000 different items that drop from various things, around the whole map, trying each of them on each weird statue or NPC that you encounter... while also not starving to death, freezing to death, burning to death, getting killed by darkness, insanity, lightning and falling rocks. Times two because caves. Oh, and a significant part of that while rowing on a raft.

Imo, Skills Trees are great. They've already created good ways to go about the bosses in a different order, and for a while will encourage creativity until people begin to find what's optimal again. Further, skills like the spear give players a way to rely less on one specific resource. Wigfrid has everything she needs now for some insane travel speed thanks to her beefalo skills, and the Elding Spear being a pseudo walking cane. You can fight AFW and a variety of bosses in a completely different way. So other playes that need the tusk can get it first, while Wigfrid works on other things. Additionally it gave Wigfrid something more than holding F. Managing her spear will be as important as attacking early on, as well as managing songs and E. Crown, wetness in spring, etc. It doesnt annoy me whatsoever that characters are getting more options to engage with the game. I would hope after being in the constant so long, the survivors that survived would have worked towards improvement rather than settle with stagnation. Great Video, Wig looks fun

Wigfrid strength was not in having the best DPS but being the most sustainable fighter. Her healing health and sanity as well as cheap armour lets her walk into anything with just some gold and come out healed. If your so good you never get it thats average but for a lot of the player base thats a big deal. Now though, she has that and this crazy ceiling.

no he doesn’t. He knows when the beefalo is close to dead because the screen will turn red and your character will say something indicating it’s low on hp. The buck timer is because he’s used to beefaloes and just knows roughly how long it should take.

Mushy cake prevents sleep, but it doesn't remove drowsiness. In other words, you get the slowness debuff, but because your sleep resistance increases, you will exit that state faster and won't become comatose. Ironically though, you can easily die in Phase 3 to Greater Gestalts if you use this. It sucks to get hit by lasers without the mushy cake, but beware you will be hit by 2000 damage of gestalts if you get caught in the gestalt barrage.

The perk isn't very good except for the bonus damage due to affinity. The Enlightened Lullaby and the Shadow Chanteuse song craftables are extremely weak because they only increase weapon damage by 5% towards the opposite alignment. It's not a very impactful song, and usually, you're using Courage, Healing, Sanity, or Durability songs so your three song slots are taken up. I think the only time the Enlightened Lullaby appears useful is VS the Celestial Champion, Possessed Varg, or Armored Bearger... but only in a group setting if players are at risk of dying to a barrage of attacks since players will take slightly less damage from Lunar sources. While alone, it will make virtually no difference. If they were altered, I think it'd be interesting if they gave players a chance to produce an effect on hit like shadow tentacles or gestalts. Maybe 33% of the time, a player could create a gestalt while fighting something. This would be cool because then it would be a more common song to use, and not a one-time use for a single boss type of thing.
