Ya the kids wouldn't notice anyway. I remember playing a version of Creature Crunch that had been dubbed into Portuguese, after some lines the characters would just keep flapping their lips with no sound and sometimes the opposite would happen, the characters would stop moving their mouths but their voices kept going. It was amazing

Yeah, that’s kinda on purpose. It would have been a lot of additional sprite work to get that done and I don’t think the budgets were that big for these games.

In later games they did try some lip syncing in important cutscenes, but this was during the area where a fully voice acted game with clever writing was impressive at all!

​@@TheGuyWhoIsSitting The amount of extra sprites they produced just to make every background feature clickable dwarfs the work it wouldve taken to sync the lips. Lip syncing just wasn't a priority. Humongous made some of the best kids games ever because they were passionate and attentive to detail, but they also knew what kids cared about, and it wasn't lip syncing.

I remember my dad tried to get me to stop playing violent games, so he introduced me to humongous entertainment. I remember playing it to death and eventually it lead me to become a Nintendo fan. My knowledge and love for Nintendo I have Putt Putt, Freddie fish and Pajama Sam to thank for. Seeing you play this game is so nostalgic for me, even though it only happened a few years ago.
