Let's move the goalposts and make new rules to protect the current holder of the record" That's what it sounds like to me :P But at the end of the day, I don't care that much. I know there are different "categories" for speed running. "Glitchless", "Glitched", etc. So he should at least get a record for a glitched speedrun. Because that's what this is, it's a glitched speedrun. And he clearly put effort into it, so he deserves some merit for it.

I generally agree that things like ACE should be allowed in a true any% category. However, I personally don't think another game should be involved. If you could for example set up a glitched save in smb2, then switch to that save and do some stuff then that should be allowed in any%. But that's just my two cents.
