So you guys have all these videos with the wires tied together quick on the bench but not final installation. Do all these wires need to be permanently connected to one another or only during programming?

Hello, it depends on your install and what you would like to do. We suggest running all of your Power and Ground cables to the battery. and if you would like to keep sync/alt sync, keep the White cables tied together and the Blue cables tied together (group A and B). And if you would like to change patterns, we would suggest running all of your Yellow cables to a momentary switch to be able to change patterns on the units. We hop this helps! For alternate sync, are there just wig wag patterns in different speeds and colors or do you still have access to all the otger patterns? Like could i program an alternate sync quad flash? Instead of wig wag? I bought and mounted some zx180 linear unites in my grill and i have gotten as far as the wig wag but i cant find any patterns past that. Not a big deal really i was just curious. I love the lights, they work perfect for what i wanted!

Hello, you can get to your regular flash patterns by holding the white sync cables to a positive connection for 1-2 seconds (this can also be done with a momentary switch), and then you can get back to alternate sync by tapping the white cables to a positive connection.

Is it possible to alternate sync two Zs but have them always show one of 2 colors. Like #1 changes from white to red, while #2 changes from red to white, instead of each light alternating between white,off,red,off?

Hello, no we do not have the ability to swap the primary/secondary colors in our Z Surface Mounts at this time.

Recently brought two Z Series Tri-color lights. Bench tested them on a 12VDC power and I was able to sync and get groups A/B programmed. At first I succesfully switched between Sync and Alt. Sync, but after a power cycle the lights would no longer switch between Alt. Sync and sync by touching white wires to 12VDC. I figured this was a mistake on my part, perhaps some of the other wires touched while I was testing them. So I built a control box to be mounted on my ATV along with the lights. I again successfully programmed the sync and A/B groups for Alt. Sync prior to install. Everything was working great until a few hours later the lights would no longer Alt. Sync. When I press the momentary button the white wire are attached to, they shut off for a brief second, but remain in sync mode. Pressing the button for the Flash pattern will only cycle through the 3 speeds. Are my lights defective?

Hello Michael, if you are in Alt Sync and going to Sync, you will tap the white cable. To get back from Sync to Alt Sync you will need to hold the white cable to power for about 2 seconds. Try holding down your momentary switch for a brief second longer and that should work for you. Can these be programmed to stay on solid? For example, I want a Red/White and be able to flash the red for emergency response. I also want to be able to use as reverse lights and spotlight in white with a relay. I will be using your Viero Siren Controller.

Hello, yes you can use the Green cable to activate the steady burn override function. If you purchased a Red/Clear in MultiColor you will be able to flash in Red/Clear then go to steady burn Clear when you want that function. And yes, you could hook this up to our Vireo (hook warning function to one switch and the green steady burn to another switch).

Hello, if you tap the Yellow flash pattern of one of the units to the Power - this will take the units off of the same pattern and will un-sync the units. You will have to follow these steps to get back to sync/alt-sync.
