The Semi Finals are often the hottest because only the top two go on to the Finals. The Earlier heats, do often give great races, but when it's just 2 going on for the Big Race, they just go even more hammer and tongs. I missed a lot of the SGP this year (was busy and for me that happen during the busy part of the day, being in Michigan on the Wisconsin border. I did see some heats and a semi and final a few times, but the SGP folks have been releasing full races on youtube so I've been watching the replays.
