Bad ass! I really want one now. Such a great place for fast quads. We should do a big drone chase through there

@@BlueSkyDigitalStudios me too haha! I can still only do so much with my hands and nerve issues, even after surgery I think it’s always gong to be an issue, ,but it was really nice being out and flying. Later in the year we need to meet up again. I don know we have plans to drive the coast in our RV early summer, heading to Bend or Crater lake, then to the CA/OR boarder then up the OR/WA coast before heading home.

1:25 gorgeous quad. Btw for* long ranges and CPU intense GPS RESCUE situations, I would highly suggest to move up to minimum F722 Flight Controllers with 8k gyro 4k pid loops. Happy landings.

Thank you very much and thank you for the tip, I didn’t know that. I’ve had good luck so far with the F405 but I’ll look into that more.

Pretty sweet video. I'd like to see more videos include height and speed but I do like this video and the scenery.

@@sier2011 thanks. I think a lot of people don’t show altitude for reasons but I can do that in some future flights.

Looks pretty smooth for an 8 inch quad...It all looks a bit under exposed though IMO....🤔😳😀🇬🇧

honestly it flew pretty good on stock b.f. it seems like the changes your going to make are going to be very small and personal able. i haven't flown in months. i been wanting too. my current schedule, and daylight hours don't line up yet. i only get maybe 1 hour of day light, and that's usually when I'm already in bed lol. i cant wait for spring. i want to fly my 5 inch, but i don't know if its a me problem or a motor issue. the nuts on the motors come loose during flight. they're IFlight motors. i don't know if that's the issue or its a quality issue but its the same motors every time. i prefer tropic thunder for this since its a T post prop setup. no need to worry about a prop coming off mid flight lol. none the less great video. no gitters or shakes. really seems like she flew like an eagle . the footage looks like shes a solid build 10/10 good work!
@smithe6815 күн бұрын
@@WhiteTrashFPV I think so too, not sure what I will change yet, I need to get more than the 2 flights I now have on it to decide. Oh that stinks, yeah the weather and lack of daylight really stinks. I’m lucky working 4 - 10’s, gives me some flexibility to get out and fly. I’m ready for spring too but I want to get a good long flight over some snowy fields before winter is over. Interesting, out of curiosity have you tried reversing motor direction of all the motors? I don’t even know if that would make a different but though. Thank you very much, I’m really happy with it! I hope you can figure out a time to fly soon!!!
@WhiteTrashFPV15 күн бұрын
you know, i never thought of that. thats actually a good idea thanks! i noticed no wobbles or shakes while you where flying so it seems like a great build so far. not even any jello. it from the footage seems dialed in. so its probably going to be your rates huh if any thing? to me even they seemed pretty good. honestly im just spending more time in sims right now. i need to knock the rust off any how. also need to practice more. so there is good news there.
@smithe6815 күн бұрын
@ hopefully it works 🤞 Me either really, it seems super smooth, I may just leave it as is. I can’t really fly sim, weirdly it makes me nauseous. I learned to fly the hard way because I had no other option.

I just built the same thing. I put tMotor F100s on it (2810 1100kv). Its a pretty heavy quad for the size. I think all the folding stuff adds weight in addition to the rest of the really beefy parts. I am going to build a foxeer Aura 8" to compare the two.
@smithe6816 күн бұрын
@@gregdavidd how are you liking it? Tmotor makes some really nice motors. I agree it does make it a bit heavy with all the moving parts but it sure is a nice feature for travel. I’ll keep an eye out for your comparison.

@@smithe68 Yeah love the feel and it flies super smooth. Barely any tuning required.

I built a Mario 8 fold last winter. It is great! Still flies well. Then I built a Foxeer Aura 10 and a Foxeer Mega 7. The Speedybee Mario 8 basically just hangs on the wall now. I have to remind myself to fly it. Those Foxeer frames are expensive, but they are so freaking good.
