I worked at a shop that sold Lapierre when the Xelius first came out, and although it rides nice, the triple triangle makes it wide right where you need it narrow if you have thighs... lol thigh rub is just one of my pet peeves

That's something I didn't notice, luckily 😅. Possibly changed since previous versions?

Lapierre is a brand I never see in Northern Ireland much. I did look at one in Edinburgh when I was on a weekend trip but never thought about them. Looks a nice bike but as you say a long term review would be needed to see the good and bad points.

I own the Xelius 75th and it's an impressive machine, everything works out of 10, but I can't link in the Shimano App or make the integrated handlebar shift buttons work, if you can tell me if they had worked for you in the test, Thank you.

That's a good question! I can't remember anymore, it was December last year. Have you tried plugging the system into a windows computer and opening the shimano app? Enjoy your new bike, I absolutely loved my time riding it.

Hey Chris, sounded like you had a great time at the launch. Awesome bikes and views too. Hope more bike brands recruit you on their PR teams.

Are they giving you one to take home? The blue pearlescent looks great.

Is that a new Helmet? 🧐 This new training you speak of. I've been doing for over 15 years now and have been arguing with the cycling world about this since then. I am the one who has been screaming on all channels that power meters are dumbing down. Cycling and base miles is not the best training. And I am the one who has been saying that the books are wrong on heart rate cadence and base miles. It turns out 15 years later that I am 100% correct. No one has turned around to say how ride I was. Everyone is just turning their head. Hoping I go away or just get run over by a truck. The proof of what I'm telling you is on my Strava. As far back as you go, you will see that I only did interval work from an hour and a half to seconds.

Nice report, thanks! The blue is indeed gorgeous! Interesting company, it's not easy not being one of the top brands when you want to market your bikes.
