I have the Gen3 DX6 and I set up voice telemetry as well as alarm for lipo battery level for my Apprentice STS. But it’s very distracting so I tried to turn it off, but it won’t. Is this b/c once telemetry's configured with a plane, it will stay forever with the transmitter? How do I turn off telemetry?

good question, I switched away from spektrum and my knowledge is fading. you could always set it really low voltage

If you had any antenna problems with the DX6e, you can actually move the antenna make it upright when you hold it.

DX6 G3 is awesome! That's what I use. Idk if you fly FPV Drones, but you can get a "Crossfire Tx Lite" preferably, velcro it on the back of this and connect it through the left/white trainer port. No PPM latency issues that I notice as long as you set your flight controller to use CRSF. But yeah, getting off-topic, that's what I use :)

This is a great radio all around, and so is the dx6e, essentially same features just lower price. it’s up to you. Can’t go wrong.

Honestly I don’t know, I stopped flying spektrum about 6 months ago, The Radiomaster TX16s is way more than the spektrum lineup will ever be and is a fraction of the price. Def something to consider. It lacks on the user interface end but everything else is upgraded.

I'm interested in the E flite Valiant 1.3m plane.. it should bind with problem correct? And does the Radiomaster be used as a simulator? Thanks again

It has an SD card for firmware updates, and yes it has a usbc cable for simulators, works great. As for the valiant, I have heard people struggling to get the full safe and as3x compatibility from it, so that may be a dealbreaker. I don’t use stabilization so it has yet to be an issue for me

Has anyone on here ever downloaded the stock setup for their aircraft to their radio? I heard some of those stock setups will have your aircraft not operating properly or is it better to manually setup your radio to the aircraft?

I was told with this radio I can download the stock setup for my blade 330s right into the radio that way I don’t have to set it up manually is this true?

Yeah, Go into the "manuals and support" page at the link below and choose your model under "download setups." From there you can import that file into your radio via an SD Card and use the setup. spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdId=SPM6755

Yes you can, sorta. Obviously there is no drop in support, no JR Module. However, you can get a cable that plugs into the trainer port on the back that will support the module, the only thing is that you will need to get the full size Crossfire TX, because there is no lua scripts built into the TX to control the Mircro TX. The larger module is 3x more expensive though... over 200 bucks :(.

the DX6 G3 is all i really could ever want in a radio, I dont fly anything with lots of flaps or flight modes etc so Its perfect for me. Figure out what your flying requires and you should have an answer. happy flying!

jakester142 As a protocol, yes, I fly Spektrum DSMX in all my planes. However this transmitter is long gone, I have Traded it for a RadioMaster TX16s, with the Multiprotocol Module and the OpenTX interface. I like it a lot better. I fly FrSky and TBS Crossfire on my quads, but all my planes still run DSM. The Radiomaster does it all.
