You know Jamie it was weird at first but I got used to it after a weekend of training. What's great is it take about 30secs to change the switch back to the momentary switch.

Great video, I have a problem with the spektrum DX9 registration screen, the web site does not load when I try to upload the SD card file, did you have this problem. I have done the registration manually but am left with the message on my DX9 every time I turn off, maybe it is the web server not loading, will try and send a message to Spektrum at a later date, cheers and happy flying.

How much do you miss being able to mirror the sticks on instructor mode?

The DX9 has a higher resolution display, just like the 10t, 18 and qq

I notice most people fly copters with both their index and thumbs on the sticks...I only use my thumbs. I guess if this feels natural then there is nothing wrong with flying that way.
@crmodels8 жыл бұрын
I flew thumbs for over 20 years and one day I forgot my neck strap and started pinching and flying without a neck strap. I can fly both styles it's just personal preference to what makes you most comfortable.

Tareq Alsaadi is arguably one of the best 3d heli pilots and Jase Dussia is one of the best 3d fixed wing pilots; they both use thumbs.

If you have the timer set to start with the timer, then with a heli does it still keep counting down even if your inverted with your heli? i had the DX8 and everytime i went inverted to full neg the timer would stop , that really bothered me.. I always thought once it started it shouldn't stop unless you were in normal mode and pulled it all the way down... I need to look up wireless trainer, i guess you have to have at least a dx8 for a trainer radio for it to work..
@crmodels10 жыл бұрын
Set timer to "one time out" and it will keep counting down in all stock orientations. The DX4 and 5 work as a trainer radio for planes. You need a minimum DX6 for helis because you need 6 channels. You need a DX9 as the master to do wireless with any Spektrum slave.

Chris Reibert Thank you for the fast reply. Right now I still fly with my old trusty DX7, old one, but if get another radio I think this will be the one.

Do u have a video how to program a blade 450x into this radio.I could really use some ideas for settings.
@crmodels10 жыл бұрын
Use the same settings as the DX8. This should get you 95% of the way there.

i needs some opinions...Hitec Aurora 9x or the spektrum DX9? what would you pick? I know they are both good companies but i wanna get some more feed back. which one is less likely to give me problems down the road.
@crmodels10 жыл бұрын
I have no experience with the Hitec radios. The Spektrum radios are extremely easy to use and setup. I've never had to open up a manual. Plus they work with the 100's of Horizon helicopter, quads, and airplanes!

Chris Reibert thank you for your response! I have been obsessed with aviation my entire life and have fooled around with some RC planes and heli's over the years but i am looking to get a great transmitter that will last me a long time and give me all teh options i might need from trainers to larger aircraft for the future. I have been using the Real flite 7 flight sim and im really excited about getting more serious with this great hobby. thank you again.
