Just picked up my nx8 already updated registered over my hotspot they make it so easy and binded two of my helicopters the 230s & the 330s I love that you explain everything through these videos I'm still learning how too , I'm fixing to acquire a blade 550x and I'll have to set it up be first time too.

Your video helped a lot!! I thought my TX or RX was messed up because I did not see The option for 1st time set up after going into gyro settings. I was going crazy trying to figure out if I had to rebind or re download the firmware. Which I did both. Not realizing that was NOT an option with this bind and fly unit. Your videos are outstanding, I have watched and reviewed several. Much appreciated for someone like me that is new to the hobby. Question I have imported a Eflight template for the Commander MPD. I have assigned some switches, Motor cutoff, flaps etc. Is there a quick and easy way to reset back to the original import template settings? Meaning it would default back to the original import (NO assigned motor cutoff, flap switch .. etc.). Thank you in advance👍

Another great video. Quick question, do you need to use a BNF template to setup SAFE Select? I have a basic plane (Arrows Big Foot) that I placed the AR8020T receiver in and was hoping to use SAFE Select just to get some experience with it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your videos.... they've really helped a lot.

Preinstalled templates in radio have the book settings. They dont have to be used for Safe just a shortcut to configure radio. On that topic though be careful as there is alot of errors with preinstalled model templates currently. AR8020T doesnt support SAFE or AS3X. AR8360T is the same RX with SAFE and AS3X.

Just received this transmitter today. I was looking at the BNF options and I didn’t see the 230s V2 heli on the list. I thought all of the models from horizon hobby was suppose to be on there. Or did I read some bad info? Thanks

All the models arent currently in the templates unfortunately. You can download them from the Spektrum website. However the template info incorrect on alot of them.So until confirmed fix i would use the info from owners manual to program transmitter.

I got the new Eflite T-28 1.2m. I'm using a DX6 with it, so I have to assign safe to either gears or flaps. I put safe with the gears. But, it comes on when gears retract and off when gears deploy. Is there any way to reverse it so, safe comes on only when gears are deployed?

Try reversing the gear channel.It will change which way the gear deploy and retract,however it should match the Safe to turn on when gear is deployed and Safe Off when retracted. Stock BNF makes you put Safe at top or away on switch. When its unlocked you can set the orientation where it comes on with switch towards you.

@@BDTennessee I forgot to mention that I did reverse the Gear channel in the Servo section of the TX. It reversed the Gear, but Safe is still activating when the Gear retracts.

@@twincitymoo7141 ok so yes that sounds right. After i wrote that ,i remembered it wouldnt haha. Try going into Digital Switch Setup. Change the values to the opposite numbers for Switch A (Example Pos 0 +100 and Pos 1 -100 change to Pos 0 -100 and Pos 2 +100). Once thats done see you made need to reverse channel to get switch to match deploy and retract in Pos 0 or 1 (whichever way you want)

Hey there, when I look at the BNF options there’s not many there and their names aren’t displayed correctly some only showing the product code and then 1.5mb or some other value. Do you have any idea why that would be? Running the latest firmware. Cheers

When you see the "codes" its the model number on horizon hobby. Can be kind of confusing sometimes. When it shows 1.5m or 1.2 etc thats the wingspan of the plane. (example: 1.2m T-28 is the Eflite 1.2m T-28 plane)

I have a new nx6 and I'm really not understanding why in the BNF menu I'm not getting all the models with part numbers. All I get is a selection of eflight, blade, etc but not all the models on one long list. Could it be the latest update?

Correct. Latest update 3.06 is causing issue with BNF list.

If its a BNF receiver you have to unlock to access other features.If its a "off the shelf" receiver its the first screen of forward programming. "Factory Reset Settings".

Hi BD I have followed video to a letter and double checked it I even set up the safe select to the same switch! I'm trying to set up a bnf valiant I bought a couple of months ago but I can't get the as3x to work safe comes on when I switch it on but when I turn it off to as3x only nothing works please help me out I'm very new at rc and don't fully understand it all thank you Marty from Canada 🇨🇦🛩🛩

Sorry i missed your comment. You have to throttle over 25% before AS3X will become active. So if your moving the plane before then it wont correct.

Is it Possible to use One of the Normal channels for this function ? I have an NX6 CH1-CH5 are assigned to flight controlls, Could i use Channel 6 for safe select and AUX1 for Reverse thrust or vice versa , or does it have to be an AUX channel ?

Factory reset if you want to start with default settings and assign channel. Unlock will allow to program gains...
