Using solder flux paste would really help your connection, using a solder / extra hand 🤚. Clamp & magnifying glass helps in many ways . Worth having in this hobby.

Great video. I have read that there is an antenna in the handle. I think this proves there isn't. At 21:52 you can see both antenna wires but I can not tell where the second antenna wire goes.

I think in the old DX it did have, NX has two antennas but none are in the handle.

How do you change swith H which is on the back of the unit? Do you need to separate the halves entirely? If so, how?

Thanks for sharing, is it needed to go through the process of replacing the whole switch? I do not have a faulty switch,, I just have a broken switch,, could this be just replaced by the new one to avoid the soldering mess. Thanks

I don't think you can take the actual switch apart.

@@kentuckyoutdoorexplorer5797 Thanks for your reply. I got a switch from a hobby shop. They are standard switches used by most of the manufacturers, but one need to make sure it is for 3 position (which I needed). The process involved tiny soldering, and now everything work well. Thanks

Hello this is a great video on how to partially disassemble the NX8 receiver. I purchased an NX8 online and it is missing the USB connection from the transmitter to the main board. Is there a way you can tell me or send a picture on how the USB port is connected internally from the Tx to the board. I can make a similar cable and make it funcitonal. Thanks

Did you ever fix the usb port issue? Mine doesn't work any more so I need to open it up and see what the problem is. They should have provided a right angle usb charging cable instead of the standard straight in connector because there is too much side force potential for breaking the port. I hope it's just a solder reflow fix, but if not, I'll have to rig up a new port. Going to a C style usb connector would be a great mod.

@@jeevsdad I just took mine apart to see what was going on and that board with the three different connectors on it was very easy to remove. I'm going to ask if they can just send my a replacement board so I don't have any Tx down time. I was able to re-solder the connector back on but the main data connection leads are too small to repair with the equipment that I have. I tried to reheat each connection, but it still doesn't have a data connection. The power charging works much better now that the connector isn't flopping around all over the place. The other option, is I just buy a micro SD card so I can just update the radio and be done with it.

I haven’t even had my nx10 a day and the H switch is doing the same thing
