☠️BLACK BARON☠️ 1:45 Why can't Spektrum sell this stuff combined with an IC3 to IC5 adapter included in the package since this charger supports 1S to 6S?
@josephtiani61453 жыл бұрын
I agree! It was annoying to have to buy two separate adaptors for batteries with connectors that they support! Especially since the charger itself is not cheap

@@josephtiani6145 ☠️BLACK BARON☠️ Strange, I had a really strange error warning today after approx. 30 minutes charging time on my Spektrum S2100 charger as I was charging my Spektrum iX12 transmitter via USB cable on the USB port 5V/2A. " Wrong polarity " it said on the charger display. Anyone else even though the cable for charging the LiPo in my transmitter was connected properly and the transmitter displayed properly "Charging" as I connected the cable.

so multiply by 2 if charging 2 at once

Good comparison. Would still like to know how quick the s2100 will do 2 batteries. 🤔

it would be the same wouldnt it.. they charge both channels at 100watt

@@thomasreddick5908 Thomas, I think it does. Have done some extended research and I bought the new s1100. Works great for me. Thanks and take care.

@@Deano54 ok, with that knowledge I see where you are coming from.... I bought the s1200. I use another chargers DC out to power the s1200. So I charge all other non-smart batteries with that charger and use the s1200 for all smart batteries. And because the s1200 is DC in I can use my car to recharge if I'm out or use a power bank to so called re fuel the smart batteries from. Take care.. Oh and the s1200 was about 69.00 or so..

most all have to split the numbers in half once the second batt. is plugged in. of if its rated at 100w, 50 goes to each plug

Shouldn't have let the battery charged on the S2100 sit for 35 minutes before checking

Trying to understand how the 2100 charger was faster when it looked like they were both charging at the same exact amps, in fact the S150 looked like it was charging maybe at a faster amperage.
@josephtiani61452 жыл бұрын
This is a good point, but when I literally timed them out one was faster. You could always up the amps in the s2100 too.

@@josephtiani6145 have you changed 3s 5000ma batteries with the 2100 charger? If so how Hong did it take at the 5a? Thanks
@thomasreddick59083 жыл бұрын
huh? isn't the s150 doesn't that mean you can only charge 1 at 50 watts.. that is where they get the 150 from and the s2100 is charge 2 at 100 watts that's how they get that charger number... so charging 1 at 50 watts and charge the other at 100 watts it should take half the time..
@josephtiani61453 жыл бұрын
You would think so. But I don’t think the chargers are exact as you would assume and you can see the times are roughly that but definitely vary.

The 150 is more like wind generation. Man has ben trying to harness the wind since before 500AD. Then thru modern technology we invented stable fossil fuels

I charge all my batteries at 1C so charge speed doesn't matter. That being said, if I didn't already have an expensive charger I'd totally invest in the Spektrum line. I like what spektrum did with the smart technology, nailed it.

Yeah, the smart batteries are awesome. I set mine to discharge after 48 hours. No wasted time at n storage charge if you head out to the field and don’t fly all your batteries. Balances perfectly every time!

Invest in the smart checker so you can set those smart lipos to auto discharge. Also i subded your channel.

Thank you for the comment! I figured out if you hold down the menu button on the S2100 it will bring up a menu where you can set it to discharge the smart battery. I set mine to 72 hours after charge and it has worked great!

I think it sucks. I’ve had 2. (Bought the first, died in 31 days. To Horizon Hobby’s credit, they sent me a brand new one) It made it through charging 10 Smart batteries, I wasn’t going to use the 2nd S2100 for anything but Smart batteries. The 2nd S2100 is back at Horizon Hobby. If they charge me for the repair, they can keep it. It’s not reliable.

Hey Jeff, sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had with them. I can’t say I’ve had any of the those issues thankfully. I have about 60 charge cycles on each of my 7 smart barriers with no issues so far. I do find it annoying to use non smart batteries and adaptors and find that it doesn’t seem to balance those barriers as well as it does the smart batteries.

@@josephtiani6145 I’m the Jehovah’s Witness for the Spektrum transmitters, (I own the dx6, dx8gen2 and the ix12) their Smart batteries, and their volt meter/servo tester. No issues, great products. But the S2100, like you said, it’s almost designed just for the Smart batteries/ec3/ic5’s.
