Very very nice Tom, this is what i think should have been all along.. So question. Would I be able to go on there and download the file for the AR637 TA that comes in the Cessna 150T and save it and put that file into a AR8360T rx? so i could have all the factory AS3X settings? I think sometimes would be cool to share files, like i have many ask about full span ailerons on my Timber X.

Yup Exactly! These files work on all the new "Smart" AS3X receivers

Great job Spektrum! I like the concept of sharing receiver files but in practice sounds really dangerous. My biggest concern is radio button, switch configurations as it seems everyone does something different. I would rather see you guys spend this time making more product, instruction videos, tips/tricks etc about your iX series radios.

Yes, I also like the concept of sharing receiver files. Good idea...

Tom, Sounds wonderful but, I don't understand how to "get up on the cloud and to your new site"? Thanks, Cubnuts

Link in the description ;) Also if you go to any tx or rx product page on Horizonhobby.com or SpektrumRC.com there will be a document in the manuals tab that links to the appropriate place on our cloud drive. Hope that helps!

Hey Tom, some contrarian thoughts on this technology, FWIW: okay, you're making it easier for guys to download (except for guys like James, Daniel or Jim below, of which there are peeelenty) so guys can use somebody's idea of what constitutes a "good set-up". Isn't this a bit like the old saying "Give a guy a fish, feed 'em for a day. Teach how to fish, feed 'em for a lifetime?". Here, you're giving a guy a fish. What if a guy uses different switch locations? What about a different philosophy for gyro gains? What if they don't fly the same maneuvers? What if they aren't as skilled a flyer (some advanced setups will destroy a plane in noob hands.) Years ago I thought pre-programs were a good idea, but I've evolved after seeing that guys are rarely successful with an imported set-up - and most times, it takes more time to adapt the pre-program to individual needs than it would to start from scratch (at least, once you have a basic understanding of what to do.) While I've been at this awhile, I can program most planes and helis in 15 minutes or less - unless it's something hairy like swing wings, gear doors etc. and there's a big plus: I know what I've programmed in (where all the switches are, what they do and WHY I've done it.) The problem - IMO - is that guys who rely on pre-programs may not ever get into the radio enough to do their own thinking. Is that good? Does this concept really save time? I'm sure my thoughts will attract guys saying SPM pre-programs work for them, great for you guys. But I hope SPM continues to help "teach guys to fish" - understand what features are used for, why and how to adjust to suit your own tastes and abilities. p.s. oops, I just read "AfterburnerRC" response - he said essentially the same thing in 1/10th the space!

Done AR 637TA Firmware update using Spektrum cable which PC says is successful. Problem is now as soon as disconnect the cable and apply a battery, the receiver lights up with an irregular orange flashing light. It needs a bind back to the model but can't do it as receiver already flashing. What have I done wrong? Is the receiver now defunct?

Where did you get f s Presets? I need the fms 980mm P40 sets?

Thanks for the quick reply! I have got the hbz3850 Aeroscout s .arm file in my phone. How do I get that file into the receiver programming app on my phone?
@SpektrumRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
You should be able to open the file and select the app, then once it is connected to the AR636 via bluetooth, select the Aeroscout file on the model list and it will transfer to the receiver

I have a question about the AS3X receivers. I have a new AR630, can i use it in different planes by moving it back and forth? What happens with the AS3X settings, are they saved on the transmitter for every model profile individually (which would be ideal) or on the receiver itself? And would it be necessary to set things up every time again?
@SpektrumRCvideos2 жыл бұрын
You won't be able to do it quite so seamlessly but technically you could. The AS3X settings are saved on the receiver, not the tx. You will want to setup the receiver on one plane, then use the PC programmer to back up that profile on your PC, and repeat with the second model.

@@SpektrumRCvideos Thank you very much for your answer! I figured out how to set up and run the RX with AS3X enabled and i will give your solution with backing up the setups a try :) Would you be so kind to answer one more question for me? I'm trying to figure out a way on how to add an on/off switch for AS3X on a model that uses 6 channels (gear and flaps). Since the RX (AR630) only has 6 channels and needs an empty channel for the F-modes to operate this doesn't seam to work. Can it be done separately or do i need to add it to the gear channel for example (gear down equals AS3X = On and the opposite)?

Tom I always enjoy the HAND training!!! LOL I just figured out I have to be signed into Google. Is there a way to view profiles for model setups?
@SpektrumRCvideos2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ken! Not exactly sure what you mean to "view profiles"? Essentially the presets should match what is suggested in the BNF's manual. The only exception is Hangar 9 model presets which should have a instruction document to explain what does what.
@kensproles58162 жыл бұрын
Ok serious question. How do I know the presets on this drive match the original presets / profile that I have on my TX and receiver? I have an Apprentice STS that is set up with things like (a bit of up elevator when taking off) How do I know the preset here has that? I know probably a loaded question from a newbie(me)
@SpektrumRCvideos2 жыл бұрын
The presets are setup to mirror the stock transmitter setup as much as possible. That said, the slight bit of up elevator is actually a function of beginner safe mode and your transmitter settings should not have much bearing on that.

Can the downloadable files be uploaded from an android phone to the ar 636 receiver with the Spektrum BLE bluetooth programming module?
@SpektrumRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
Yes, with the AR636 files you can upload bia the BLE device.

There are not many IX transmitter pre-sets, but loads of NX Transmitter pre-sets, when are these going to be available for the IX transmitters. Seems quite strange that the flag ship transmitter doesn't have that many
@SpektrumRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil! We have been creating a iX file for each new release. That being said, keep in mind that iX transmitters can import DX G2 files as well, so in reality the list of compatible iX presets is quite extensive. The same rule applies to NX transmitters as well :)
