lots of people are playing it ( at least in customs game ) but there was a downtime in recent patch and now people are waiting for the Reforced edition in december to come out before going back to multiplayer.

I think you missed it, but Spike Flingers also deal their full damage in an AoE! Not sure how large the area is, though. Please keep up the great work, it's so refreshing to see Spellforce - LOVE the game!

I have yet to see a game where the trolls lose. Both their units and their hero are completely overpowered. Splash damage for all units + a hero that can stun in an AOE. And while you say that because they have no tier III they can be outclassed in later stages of the game to me it seems that none of the late game units for both humans and elves make any difference. It is actually the opposite where the human and elven units and heroes tend to take a few skirmishes in the early stages of the game but then completely fall apart late game when the trolls turn into a steamroller.

Absolutely agree. In every cast trolls demolish their opponent pretty easily.

in this game not the trolls are overpowered, the player that play's them is op. Saitama is the world best player in Spellforce 3 Versus edition. between him and the second best player is much room.so he will beat every one with every unit...

You could watch some of the past tournaments. Trolls get beaten, their early economy is vulnerable and the difference between keeping units barely alive and losing them is big. In doubt just try it for yourself - Versus edition is free.

You can play with up to 5 different people (so 6 players total) with any team combination you'd like. 2v2, 3v3, 2v2v2, FFA, 2v3v1 etc.

The game looks so good, but i just can't get over the fact that every unit has the same runspeed and trolls are so disgustingly overpowered. Spikes don't just attack more often, they do AOE damage, the melee trolls do aswell. It's just silly.

That's actually not true, units have various speeds. As for AOE, only Skullcrushers (up to 3 units) and Warbringers (2) have it for melee.

@@Farlon273 So? Even if there is a movement speed difference, which i wont concede, it's not enough to make a difference in strategy. as for AOE, again, so? You can never fight trolls head on, even if you're substantially ahead, they are utterly pay to win race.

@@Martin-rb4np Even if that was true, this is like saying "You can't fight a charging elephant head on!" Trolls may be good at brute force (would be weird if they weren't) but have other weaknesses. If you play them you may quickly find their limits.
