I was doing a powerpack run and I was at 1-4 and I’d blown the entrance to the ghist shop open. Powerpack makes your bomb have a bigger radius, so I think it broke one of the presents inside, angering the ghist shopkeeper, who then spawned outside on top of me, killing me instantly.

7:18 is an interesting one, looks like there was something explosive in the back layer that got blown up by the plasma cannon explosion. Maybe like a power pack or maybe just a bag of bombs, who knows. Either way it was close enough to instantly kill him through the layer. so i don't watch you on twitch, right? all i see of your gameplay is what you post on youtube. which means most of the time all i see are your successes--your speedruns, challenge runs, 7-99 clears, etc. so i love these spelunked videos because they remind me that even for a player as talented as yourself, spelunky is a goddamn difficult game, and it takes a lot of hard work and patience to achieve those successes.
