+axe bodyspray How would you know if Spence has never fought a B+ fighter? Spence has A+ talent against Danny who is a B+ fighter. They are no A level 147 pounder besides Manny, Bradley or Marquez since Floyd is gone, everybody else is one the come up and Spence is the most feared. Errol is 5'9, a southpaw who can counter punch, has a 73 inch reach, can throw combo's like a young Floyd, has laser accuracy in his timing and has the power of an assassin not too mention so far he's shown he's probably the most discipline body puncher. Kill the body and the head will fall. Plus he's really a 154 pounder squeezing into the division so his power is VERY real. Danny just moved to 147 so he's too small and doesn't have enough footwork to keep Spence off hi and Danny like to brawl because he has a chin like Marciano but I don't think he has enough boxing ability. The only advantage he will have against Spence will be the experience factor.

van Heerden is a very good fighter and has a very good chin. Before the fight I thought that van Heerden would beat Spence or lose on points. Spence surprised me in stopping him for the first time in his career and out boxing him from round 1. Spence is the real deal.

Errol Spence reminds me that boxing is ultimately about fundamentals. Sometimes we try to be flashy like Roy Jones in the gym and we lose the plot. Spence brings me back down to earth. Phenomenal boxer.

Thurman said he won't fight Errol until he fights better opposition. If I'm Thurman, I would want to fight Errol now rather than later. Realistically, Errol will get better & if Thurman can't 'beat' Errol now (as most of us feel) then imagine 6 months to a yr from now!!CancelPost

i had only heard Errol Spence name from floyd mayweather i imagined he was just a american hype job but in all seriousness this guy is legit one of the best prospects in boxing and the most serious thing is that boxing world needs to stop focusing and lingering on people who are 30 and above and start looking at the young guys and make the big fights at young ages. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao was a fight between 2 guys in their late 30s!!!!!!!!! and people were surprised that it was a slow fight???? seriously look back in time... Roberto Duran (age 29) vs Sugar Ray Leonard (age 24), one of the best fights ever. Marvin Hagler (age 31) vs Tommy Hearns (age 27), one of the best fights ever. Julio Cesar Chavez (age 28) vs Meldrick Taylor (age 24), one of the best fights ever. this list could go on and on. Errol Spence needs the big fights now!!!! boxing world needs to put guys like spence, verdejo, joshua, berbetiev, amir imam, callum smith out there and fight the big guys!!!!... there are so many mismatches in boxing and because of the internet there are so many hyped up matches that dissapoint even if they are still good fights, where are great rivalries and great young fighters?? hopfully cotto canelo can bring a spark, but cotto is old and even though the fight could be close its because of canelos faults. boxing world needs to focus on the young guys and these young guys need to fight each other!!!!!!!!! boxing world needs to stop looking at old guys apart from mayweather canelo golovkin most of these fighters are shot!!!

+Raoul Akhtar Real talk, especially all the Europeans fighters who have crazy amounts of Amateur experience, they need to be put in the big fights now, not when they're 45. Beterbiev is a great example of someone who should get a fight against Ward/Kovalev/Stevenson. Also Spence should fight Kell Brook, that would be a great fight, both guys are big for their weight and heavy handed.

I'm still in two minds about this kid.. He''s deffo not ready for anyone highly ranked.. as there's nothing he can do, that any of them can't do a whole lot better.. His defence is totally untested, and so is his chin.. His punches are crisp, sharp, and sting a little, but the power doesn't make you open your eyes.. The only thing that makes me believe he could go on to great things, is the fact he's definitely better than Garcia or even Kell Brook when they was coming through the ranks.. so the kid probably has a bright future, but a future superstar? He's got a lot to prove.. But he's still young and has plenty of time.. and I wish him all the best..

Felipe Azevedo those were 2 very close fights from what I hear though. And that doesn't mean he'll lose in the pros. Kovalev lost to Beterbiev in the amateurs. Crawford lost to Danny Garcia in the amateurs and would kill him in the pros.

And prospects call out champions just like Thurman and Brook did when they were prospects and champions call out who's higher than them like Thurman and Brook called out Floyd Mayweather, that's just boxing u always wanna go to the next level and that's a great thing, it's great that he's showing this kinda confidence, he's willing to take a huge step higher in opposition and fight a much more experienced champion for less money knowing that he can still fight bums and fight the champ later down tge line and make more money, that's not a bad thing.
