Any well rounded players should love the chance to play with Luka. He's double-team blitzed more than any player in the NBA, and he's great at passing out of double-teams, which leaves them with the ball in their hands a lot in 4 on 3 situations. This already results in a ton of open threes for Luka's teammates, but it would be unstoppable if Luka was passing to another consistent three-level scorer who can also playmake some.

I agree with Spence. I don't rock with these ppl who says that Dallas should do something asap to bring someone to help Luka. I always feel that Luka is so much OP that the disparity of him and his teammates are too far and it makes it feel like he's a lone Maverick. The Dallas has a solid team, but they do tend to slip a bit in the playoffs... Exasperating the Luka "alone" syndrome. Luka has help, but they need to do their jobs better in the playoffs and it is the million dollar question "can the current team" reach this level or do they need new players to move up. And putting just anyone with Luka isn't going to be easy. Christian Wood seems to be working well. Dinwiddie is still a nice piece, but he is one of the people who needs to tough it up in the postseason. And if you get another star caliber player, will you have enough money to fill out the roster or will you find yourself where the Lakers currently are? Couple of stars surrounded by g-league players? Cause it certainly won't work especially in the long run... Dallas is in a tough spot. And you wish to get better to keep Luka invested in staying with the team... It is really tricky and there are so many options that could or could not pan out. There are no sure things and that is what makes the roster building in the NBA so hard. You have finite resources and limited time and there are so many variables that there are no sure things. KP and Luka was already on paper a really good combo, but it didn't work at all... I still don't know if it was Luka or KP or Carlisle who couldn't/wouldn't make it work. But on paper, those two in a pick-and-roll is a complete nightmare for any two defenders...

Nobody was saying "Luka has no help" till Porzingis got traded, before that, it was just "This duo doesn't seem to work". It's not an insult, it's a fact. If Mavs got a paul george, jaylen brown, or even Klay Thompson, would people say he got no help? Alll the guys on his team, they are not "the 2nd guy" on a team, Dinwiddie on any contenders would be at most the 3rd guy.

@@fateriddle14 - I recommend looking up the definition of fine. And I also recommend that you stop using vague subjective terms like "no man's land". Think about it. While Luka, Maxi, Josh, Spencer, Dorian, Tim, Christian, Dwight, Reggie, Jaden, and Dāvis hold the finals trophy, every other NBA player will be in "no man's land" because they will not be with the men who won it all.
@Defeat_MAGA2 жыл бұрын
@@fateriddle14 I'd like to call you out. You claim "no chance" which means 0. In booking scenarios, 1 chance in 10,000 is still better than "no chance." In the 1 in 10,000, you bet 1$ to get back $10,0000. But you said "no chance" and I am laughing. Basically, I will put my $0 cash (which I have) against your $1,000,000. So if the Mavs win you pay me $1,000,000 since you claim "no chance." We can let Mark Cuban hold your cash (since I know him).
@fateriddle142 жыл бұрын
@@Physics_Dude no man's land means you're neither tanking for picks nor contending, that's very frequently used for specific meaning. And I don't think it's subjective to claim, Mavs is not a contender this year, without major trade moves.

I dont care what any player in the world says, being told "player X doesnt have help" while you are on the same team is offensive. Spencer may not be the second star that is going to propel the Mavs in to contention, but he is still one of the best basketball players alive and is very capable of taking over a game. Him and Wood are both great and have been doing really good things for the team. Guys like Luka and Lebron are kind of hard to play with. Obviously they are amazing, but its hard to get in to a rhythm while you have to watch a guy dribble for 22 second every time down the court. The trick is for the coaching staff to come up with a gameplan that utilizes all of the pieces well while still letting the stars shine. Thats why some stacked teams win championships while others just waste money.
