@@maikopskoy oh eh you posted this a month ago but here’s an explanation- okay so existentialism is really just sparkly nihilism in my opinion, it’s the belief that “sure nothing matters but I can derive my own meaning from the cosmic indifference of existence.” And he’s kind of poking fun at this overtly optimistic belief in an inherently dark subject. Plus (this is really just my beliefs on existentialism) existentialism is really just a backtracking of beliefs, it admits nihilism but then says you can extract objective meaning from the inherent subjectivity of what you enjoy. Which in my opinion is just putting nihilism aside to say okay whatever I believe what I believe.
@annikarobertson72944 жыл бұрын
@@maikopskoy well I actually may be adding in too much of my own personal take on existentialism (and it’s very stereotypical for a teenage atheist to lapse completely into nihilism/absurdism) but he’s mainly just speaking of it more as a philosophical belief than critiquing it - which if anyone wants to debate philosophical concepts I’m down

Spencer Reid has more compassion and empathy and kindness in one strand of his hair than Sheldon Cooper does in his entire body. Sheldon only shows people he really knows some form of kindness. corporate is wrong. in this essay I will...
@magnadelusor42494 жыл бұрын
Emma Hinchliffe True I love Sheldon but Reid has mentors and people to show him how to empathize. Gideon is as smart as him and showed him how to be better while understanding him. The only person who did that was Penny and a little Amy which is how we see so much change from him in season 1.
@royaneekhalil64884 жыл бұрын
No they aren't. The only similarity is the intelligence to an extent but they are different people.
@emmahinchliffe28104 жыл бұрын
@@magnadelusor4249 yea i see your point and i do like sheldon but still Spencer chose to save people and to quote his deadbeat father "most people would've choosen to make a furtune with you abilities" Spencer is still a bettter person than sheldon and even though he was real awkward in the earlier seasons, i stand by my original comment because it is facts. Spencer Reid has more compassion. and empathy and kindness in one strand of his (impecable) hair than Sheldon does in his entire body. these characters have only one similarity in their character profiles and that is that they are geniuses and that is it. From my own personal experiece around people with Autism, the more they are exposed to you, the more open and safe they feel. Spencer Reid became more open and less akward because the rest of the team make him comfortable and open. Reid has solved hundereds of cases therfore building his confidence. Sheldon Coooper becomes less Robotic the longer he is exposed to his friends. he doesnt need to be re assured in his work because he already knows he is the best, Sheldon needed more reassurence in his personal relationships. Told you o could writen an essay
@magnadelusor42494 жыл бұрын
Emma Hinchliffe 😂I agreed with you I said Spencer is more empathetic and kind. He’s a good person like when Penny needed money he knew he had a lot and she had a little so he gave her some but he’s also a dick in about every way. Again I said spencer is more empathetic than Sheldon because of the people he’s around I think you misread my comment. Remember when Sheldon was a kid he tried to provide free electricity to his entire town because he wanted to help he would have done it to if it wasn’t for the government. Spencer had people to help him grow as a person while Sheldon didn’t. They are both much more similar than you think because Sheldon also wanted to help people it’s the reason he went into science as a child. Spencer decided psychology was the way to go and he does an amazing job. They both are geniuses who are awkward and kind but Spencer has a mentor to help him grow and develop as a child and teenager while Sheldon didn’t. So again Spencer is more kind and empathetic as I said but they are much more similar than you said.
