I used to ride dirt when I was a kid, quit for 7-8 years. Started riding transition maybe a month ago. My town has a pretty small park, super tight bowl that zigzags downhill, but in the past month I’ve learned to drop in, fly out, 180, fakie(somewhat, can’t turn out), and last night I decided to send it on the 12ft vert wall when I’ve only been able to carve in the bowl not 180 on transition. I got it down now. Thanks for the help dude, doin stuff I never imagined when I was a kid

Best “How To Air Out” video I’ve seen. Like the fact you cover casing in your videos as it makes it seem less worrying! Next how to suggestion: How to 180 off of grinds! Could cover both hard way and easy!

I like to how your progression went from little 180 hops under the coping to fully airing out. That's the bit I need to figure out! Useful video tho, I'll get there eventually. Cased yesterday for the first time and flew off the bars on a 5 ft. I'm currently just about able to bonk the front tire

Spencer you are the best! I can air out of a quarter and jump box jumps and stuff but going back into a ramp is hard. You should do how to transfer a hip, do you just shove your nose down into the other side after you air out?
@Tclbmx_7 жыл бұрын
hips are easy (at least for me), if they are mellow that is though.. You really have to nose into the hips as if not you could land with your back wheel and loop out. It just a matter of adjust your bike to the landing spot.

Should use captions when ur to far away from the camera, but wish this video was around 4 yrs ago when I was ridin. Was at Ross norton doin the half pipe, my sending skills in the air were gettin better started leavin the cooping, doin alrite w that then started goin alil bigger an found my landing skills were nose heavy to the cooping an head first 3 separate times to the ground. Even when wearing a helmet I think I had a concussion idk I just know me an Ramps r not best friends lol. Ur videos r awesome keep up the how tos, I'm goin back to basics on the bmx.

I have watched this video many times, but I just can't get the courage to believe I will be able to do it. I can do a bunnyhop in the transition and get around, but I am so unsure. I sometimes have success with the pump, but it often overwhelms me.
@critJones7 жыл бұрын
I want to clarify what you want to do when you case. If you are going to case try to keep your legs straight, so once you hit the top of the ramp compress your legs to stop yourself from being bucked over the bike.

I know terminology has changed since I rode in the 80's and 90's but that small ramp wouldn't have been called a quarter pipe but rather a trick ramp. We called a quarter pipe something that was the shape of quarter of a pipe.
@ArmyBoiSweat4 жыл бұрын
Now curved ramps that are about a quarter of a pipe are quarter pipes, curved ramps that are far less than a quarter are kickers, and flat ramps are banks
