Johan Van Hoye It's actually making a comeback of sorts. All of the Viewliner IIs will have the Phase 3 scheme with the Phase 5 logo. I actually heard that even some locomotives will be getting it too!

The Pacific Surfliner route is my most favorite Amtrak route. I rode on the Pacific Surfliner train 769 on 5/27/2017 from San Diego to Oxnard for the day, the ride was very relaxing, comfortable & enjoyable. I had a great time riding the Pacific Surfliner so much. When I'm home in the Civilized San Diego area for visits, I will be riding to Los Angeles & Oxnard alternating my visits between the 2 cities. On 10/6/2017 I rode round trip to & from Los Angeles on the Pacific Surfliner & also rode Metrolink and even Metro bus route 239 and the trip was very enjoyable. I didn't have to deal with the traffic and he construction zones on the Santa Ana freeway between the 605 parking lot & Buena Park at all.

The opening scene is the Pacific Surfliner traveling Los Angeles bound through Rose Canyon in the San Diego area near LaJolla. I rode on the Pacific Surfliners 7 times between San Diego & Los Angeles when they were called the San Diegans. If I were still living back in the Civilized San Diego metro area instead of the Sh@thole Loser City Tucson metro area I would be riding to & From Los Angeles & Oxnard on the Pacific Syrfliners and at least be in a very pro passenger train state, not like Arizona which has the very worst roads, highways in the entire nation & is very anti passenger train.
