I guess Commander Lee has gone back to the fleet? Not enough about her. Sorry, but we need more women up there and she really rocked it. We didn't see enough of her for the two years. I I was young I would have jumped on it. I was one of few women in the Merchant Marine, but this would have been so much more.

Great video Spencer 👍. Which camera did you use to record? The 605 has an attenuator option built in. I have that turned on + turning the DB a couple notches down in post.

Thanks. I was using the XF400 for this upload. I had the db turned down as low as possible (-12). I used a de-crackle filter for the audio in Adobe Premier, but the highs got heavily distorted. Even though the filter made it way easier to listen too. I'm most likely going back to my Rode Video mic X.

Sounds like your using a external mic set away from the camera? If your using a XLR. If so, maybe mic placement is the issue? Move it around until you get a more even sound. Just a guess. I run a soundboard for musicians, and on our board we use a compressor to even out the highs and lows. So if a vocal gets way too loud it compresses it down and their highs and lows are in a range that sounds good without blowing out your ears but still hear when their soft. Im not sure if they make a external compressor you can run your XLR through then out to the mic.
