A few of these on sale at various prices, but not many of them around where the gasket seal has been changed, and sellers stress that it is not waterproof. The owners spend hundreds getting these restored, serviced and completely overhauled but cannot use them for diving. I recently bought 4 NOS crowns and the crowns cannot be pushed onto the stem, they're like plastic. So even the NOS need the gaskets replaced. Great video - nice to see you got good amplitude. It's really great to see there are still some stunning examples out there, and gratifying to see it was overhauled by a professional

6105-811x service and restoration videos are my absolute favourite! Mine was lost in a home robbery in 2021 and I finally replaced it last February. To say that I lost sleep over not having one is an understatement (talk about first world problems!).

I'm curious about joining the waiting list for servicing a watch. It's "X" amount for buying the slot. How much is the service without any parts? Certainly understandable that parts require their own fee. Or does the purchase of the slot cover the cost of the service?

You go to our site kleinvintagewatch.com, go to "servicing" and there should either be slots for sale ($500 deposit which is put towards the final bill), or if there aren't, a button to get notifed when slots are available. When slots are available we send out a notice to everyone on the list, and then it's first-come-first-serve.

I understand this is easier to adjust the watch, but is it not better to also test dial and crown sides down to test the usual ways of wearing the watch daily? Personally I don't rest my watches dial side down, to maintain accuracy...

I check pendant but not often. Dial up / Dial down are the most critical. If those numbers more or less match in beat error, loss/gain, and amplitude, the watch is in good shape. Having great up/down numbers, but bad numbers only in crown-down (pendant) or crown-up is rare; usually it's because there's a physical problem like debris or a tweaked hairspring.
