I hate those customers that either have a neighbor or didn't think their grass needed cut that week. All I ask is call me the night before or morning of and ask to skip that week, I show up you're being charged. People don't realize time is money, if I go out to mow it's my time lost, and worse if I send another crew out I'm paying 2 guys to just drive to your yard for no reason.
@Chris_In_Texas14 күн бұрын
When a customer does that around here, the lawn company will just mow again per their contract and bill the customer as normal. Just like nothing happened, and you have a contract with us to do this. 😁

I have to do it all myself, and the only small equipment here is a single push mower. my stepdad wanted nothing to do with small engines, and my mother doesn't believe in string trimmers. now we're getting poison ivy and trees!

There are many reasons ppl cannot do their lawns, it is not because they are lazy. Some are disabled, some are too old, some have the money to hire ppl like you and would rather spend that time doing something else like maybe taking their kids to the park. I mow my neighbors lawn all the time because she has job that she works over 50 hours a week. Amazing how we all survived just fine before all this machinery and desire for a perfect, precious lawn became the norm. 🤔 I've seen people use up so much gas and time using leaf blowers, while I had my yard completely done in 2 hours, nice and quiet, using a rake. .. compared to their all day non-stop noise making, for properties not even half the size if my own. Now all this machinery is all you hear just about every nice day we have, all day and often into the night. Not a day goes by without someone running loud machines for hours upon hours. Get some rakes, and if you have kids get them involved.. have some fun with it 1/2 way through (let them jump in the piles) and then finish the job.

@jeffmeyers3837Күн бұрын
Dumping clippings in the woods doesn't hurt the woodland. It creates amazing habitats for all sorts of critters. We had an area in our neighborhood where everyone would dump their clippings, and I swear you've never seen so much wildlife in one spot. Frogs, salamanders, birds, snakes, pretty awesome. It also decomposes and feeds the soil and surrounding trees. That high nitrogen grass in a carbon dominated soil like the woods is like rocket fuel for growing plants.
