Something needs to change in the medical field. How can they expect doctors to function on such little sleep?!
@alliesteph6274 Жыл бұрын
There are a lack of doctors that’s the problem.

My bf and I love your videos. We’re both military and work crazy hours but yours are all over the place! Lots of respect to you and what you do, especially how you treat your patients. Thank you for sharing your days with all of us!

No words just incredible. How your brain kept working and a flight, eat, sleep, a lab, fly again and Beyoncé? Your a hero and so hard working. No glory in killing yourself BUT your children and husband know who you are and the greatness you have. We now know the heart you have and it never stops… and that a hero truly lives among us! Damn your incredible and fun and so good. Best is your mother is so proud!! God Speed ❤

I don’t know how you do all of that! I worked nights as an RN and it literally made me crazy. The lack of sleep caused auditory hallucinations

That's so scary!
@kadenhiggins9338 Жыл бұрын
@@glorias.2930 it was! I thought I was hearing someone’s radio playing. Like a talk radio. But couldn’t find where it was coming from. Then I started having panic attacks and was hospitalized and told a dr about what I was hearing and she said it was auditory hallucinations. I had to quit working. I’m on disability now.

@@kadenhiggins9338 I'm familiar and my heart goes out to you. I had a close relative go through something similar. Sending you a big hug. I pray you are doing better now. ❤️ This is not a joke. I just don't understand how the medical field doesn't have a better system. Am I missing something?! *sigh*
@kadenhiggins9338 Жыл бұрын
@@glorias.2930 I agree. I worked with a dr who worked so many hours and was so tired he fell asleep driving home and wrecked. He died and killed 2 people in the other car. It’s just too much for these drs. It’s not safe!

I’m sos sorry you experienced this, but I totally believe it with how much working nights can work against you. Did you notice any other health issues? I’ve noticed a HUGE increase in migraines, severe nausea and really bad fatigue. I use to love to work out, eat and spend the day doing things. Now I can’t do any of them bc of how much working nights has affected me.

Look back at a video for resident hrs. Her body is trained to do so. Many years of training. She also takes the time to rest on her days off and the on call she just said was 1 day per 6.

“I’ll sleep 💤 when I’m ☠️” Dr. Betsy Grunch😂
@glorias.2930 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate all you do Dr. Grunch but how on earth did you function with one hour of sleep? I realize this is just the way it is in the US but does not seem safe. If I only sleep 2-4 hours, I am dizzy, nauseous and can't think clearly (I'm in my 30s, by the way).

Same. I'm no good to anyone or thing if I get less than 6 hours and that's QUALITY sleep. Everyone is different but these videos don't tell the whole story. Remember that. These are glimpses .

I know this is s glimpse into her day(s) but i still feel as though as a society, we are glamorizing the hustle, lack of sleep, busy busy, overly ambitious, competitive lifestyles. Everyone is different of course and functions differently day to day, but for me, i neer the quality sleep and if i dont habe to add more to my to-do list, the better. Just food for thought ❤
