When i saw you cleaning your house in a squatting position i suddenly remembered something. I spent 1 year in Manali. The thing that really shocked the wits out of us was watching the ladies carry huge baskets full of fruits/ vegetables etc on the back with the entire weight string around the forehead! And then they walking 3-5 km uphill to their homes. Initially we looked around for a house maid and then we were really embarrassed when we saw other families doing their own house work and no one is poor! i mean everyone has a small farm/plantation/ handicraft / candle making etc and sell their products. We stopped looking for a maid and did our own work and trust me it kept us fit! They prefer walking all the way to the town and walking back. We started doing the same inspite of us having a company car. I have learned what is true Humility and peace. Himachali people are so good looking and beautiful that we use to keep staring at them thinking that God has really taken a lot of time and patience to create Himachali beauty! Every morning we use to open the window ( wooden) towards the mountain and the rush of cool air inside our entire house, having coffee in the balcony overseeing the apple orchids was something that dreams are made off. I am really grateful that i could spent 1 year in Himachal and made ever lasting Friends for life. At Solang Valley every Saturday and Sunday we used to have our picnic lunch among the forest and flowing rivers. My then 1 year old daughter used to happily play among the goats grazing around. A beautiful sight to behold. Its been 20 years now and the urge to go back to Manali is becoming more and more strong. Today Himachal is facing a major natural calamity and i know for sure the resilience and strength they have will see that rise up like a Phoenix!

Hello, humara mandir floor se attached hai and open hai…vahan aasan nahi laga va tha safai krte ve… jb aasan lag jaye toh chapal nahi pehente… aur floor pe pani gira hota hai, tiles pe pair slip hone ke chances hote hai toh main unhe khud bhi bolti hun ki pehne rakho… isme risk nahi lena chahti main bhi…
