My running ups and downs are definitely there so please don't feel alone! I decided to start running to ensure I could run away if I was being chased with an axe (very silly I know) but fell in love super quickly and once I signed up for a half, it just all fell apart. I find once there is a goal I just lose all desire. It's super weird and I am still trying to figure it out but you are never alone and I wish it was talked about more so thank you for being so honest!!

I had fallen out of love with running this year and it was really hard. I did a half marathon in July and it was the most emotional run I’d done and I didn’t run afterwards for 3 months. I was done and I almost resented the sport ?? I’m slowly running again now after the break and I understand once more why I fell in love with it. You’re not alone ♥️

Always appreciate your transparency and you’re so not alone Conagh!! I ran my first half marathon this past year and fell off training for the last month leading up. Felt like I was failing the entire time but still did the race and it felt amazing! You’re so worthy of going to Hawaii no matter what your results end up being 💛💛

I think because you know you’re running a marathon, you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself which is understandable. But at the same time, it’s okay if you’re not a perfect runner and it’s okay if it’s not perfect even on the day. I think it’s important to recognise that we’re human beings and things happen and sometimes things aren’t perfect, but that’s okay. We’re not expecting perfection. I just want you to look after yourself and have grace and patience with yourself. Don’t let outside forces, doubt and anxiety affect your mental health cause looking after you (in whatever way that works for you) is the most important thing. We’re with you no matter what x look after yourself and know that you’re doing a good job! Every step in the right direction, even small, is a step and you’re doing amazingly!

So much of running is the mental game. You gotta clear the shame blame game and focus your mind. You can do it. ❤ Give yourself some compassion!!!!

your second marathon is sooo close to your first one. no wonder you feel tired and a bit demotivated. additionally while your first marathon was for you and you only, the second one is related to a brand, that you know professionally and (probably) wish to continue the professional relationship. This adds a lot of pressure and might suck the joy out of it. just my two cents, you doing great

Just finished watching your vlog, and as always killing it with the vlogs! But I’ve been running for 6 months and I totally understand being in a slump whilst training for a marathon. I think it’s a good idea to just take the pressure off, find your spark in running again and the reasons why you enjoy running and I’m sure the spark will come back🙏🏻

Not sure if you watch Kylie (Ross) Holbeck, but I remember her talking about going through something similar last year with running and marathon training! 🩷
